laloesch Verified Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 This thread is beyond pointless. The Royals have publically stated that they are not shopping Ventura and the Twins wouldn't touch him with a 10' pole anyways as long as TR is in charge. Besides, why on earth would the Royals take Nolasco off our hands in exchange? Makes zero sense. Not sure why some TD members post these preposterous trade ideas. First of all they wouldn't trade a promising younger starter to an inter divisional rival, two they wouldn't trade for a washed up crybaby starter with a career 5 era who wants to go back to California anyways and three Dayton Moore wouldn't take on such an expensive contract unless the guy is ACTUALLY GOOD.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Teams don't seem to be against intra-division trades anymore, but in the case of a talented guy like Ventura, they may be.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Again I think you make Ventura the closer and he isn't going to be throwing at batters. But if we made a list of immature players you could create a helluva team. You can also create some pretty bad teams with guys who flashed ability but could never figure it out. When your catcher basically rolls out the red carpet for you to eat a fist - that tells me a lot.
