New article today by Bill Mitchell about the top prospect in the Arizona Fall League.   Here.  Started as their top 10, but ended up mentioning a couple dozen names.  Interesting to see how many Twins' players were in the list, especially since the first sentence of the article is "Perennial Arizona Fall League observers noted a decline in the quality of prospects this year"...

From the list it looks like he only saw 3 teams, Surprice, Salt River, and Mesa. It,s hard to believe the Champ had none on the list.

I wouldn't worry about the 'decline in quality' quip - he's right.  The last few years the Twins sent Buxton, Rosario and Kepler (among others), I think the Astros sent (or tried to send) Correa; Trea Turner, Lindor, Seager and Addison Russell were there last year.  That's a kick ass group of prospects and this years group wasn't nearly as loaded.

Burdi is a top 150 prospect, Walker a top 200 prospect, Rogers a top 300, Reed a top 300, Turner a top 400, Garver a top 600, and Hildenberger might be about 750. No surprise here.

Callis at mlbpipeline had a quick write up as well - http://m.mlb.com/news/article/158015830/arizona-fall-league-top-20-prospects

He mentions Burdi "The best relief prospect in the AFL, he consistently threw in the upper 90s with his fastball and upper 80s with his slider. After running into control troubles in Double-A, Burdi walked just one batter and allowed two hits while fanning 11 in eight scoreless innings."

Turner 200 spots ahead of Garver?  Gee Garver's OPS alone is 200 spots ahead of Turner's in the same league.  Turner is Drew-Lite.

Turner has the qualities to be a backup catcher with his catch and release skills behind the plate, his bat is going to be average at best.  Garver possesses the better hit skill but defensively he's still well behind Turner.
