jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Bring on the electronic detector. I'm so sick of umpires deciding games with bad calls. it happens both ways, too. We see so many instances where a great pitch is called a ball because the ump's poor eyeballs weren't calibrated to expect a pitch in an unexpected place. Screw that crap. We've had the tech for years now, we know it works. Let's use it.
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 Manfred has ordered the umps to keep us out.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Point 1>>>> Well if we go down, let's go down fighting.Point 2>>>> BTW, there are many other names who belong on that list more than mine. If you can edit the poll go ahead and replace me. If that ain't classic Minne-Soda Passive-Aggressive, I challenge someone to do one better!?
FattCrapps Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Hey Ump, what do we think of your strikezone? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35XI37SVVYI
ShouldaCouldaWoulda Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 "one trend that never reached MN, the velocity trend." LOL!
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 If we can get out of this we will have some good momentum.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I'll say it now. The Twins can't get Cain out when it matters.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 And now the same ump screws Boyer on a slider inside. What are they paying you, ump?
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I take back the previous accusation. This ump simply has no idea where the strike zone ends and the batters boxes begin.
Jerr Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 DAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 That was simply a hilarious play by Boyer. You have a chance to somehow escape this inning and you decide to hit Cain in the back? Wow.
kydoty Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 They always make that call...except when we need it the most.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Great job Boyer, that will be the last play in your Minnesota Twins career, don't come back! Bum.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 The slow death March to elimination continues.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Well, shoot. Would have taken a great play by Boyer; he didn't toss the ball far enough away from first. Gotta throw that one right at Mauer's face.
FattCrapps Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I thought pitchers were the best athletes on the field?
Jham Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Shows how important strike outs are. Even nubbers can mean his and runs.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 They always make that call...except when we need it the most. There was nothing wrong with what Cain did. Boyer is just an idiot.
kydoty Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Now the ****ing circus music can start.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Oh dear God, what a **** show.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Complete meltdown. Cya in April fellas.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I wish Dick was announcing this game.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I just get home - turn on the TV and the first thing I see is Boyer playing Dodge Ball. Now I am kind of regretting ordering that Boyer jersey. (Although - I actually do feel kind of bad for him). Overall I am happy with the season -- and always knew the wild card was a long shot (at least the last week or so) but was hoping for a better closing weekend. I might turn the TV off now.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I said it when the inning started -- appropriate that the season ends with the worst reliever on the roster as the culprit. And that was the right call on the Cain play. Cain has to be in fair territory to touch the bag somehow. If that's 20 feet closer to home plate, then yes, that's interference. And that's all she wrote. Great season guys. Hope it's a foundation for a lot of fun the next couple of years.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Worst two throws I've seen Rosario make.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 May is quite the useful asset in the bullpen DOWN FOUR RUNS. Too bad he hasn't been pitching in Pelfrey's place all season long.
FattCrapps Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Never would have imagined the bullpen letting us down like this. Who could have predicted this?!?!?!?!
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I said it when the inning started -- appropriate that the season ends with the worst reliever on the roster as the culprit. As if there's any way we could possibly differentiate Boyer from any of the other members of this bullpen.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 WTF, Rosario? Throwing it in the general direction of the dugout?? Pick a target! Well, at least we aren't being tortured by hope. Once again we see why the Twins should use all their expensive veteran pitchers other than Santana to stock the bull pen for next season.
