That fastball has some movement.

/ shall we post a poll as to which pitcher I'm referring to?

Pelfrey?

Pelfrey?

I'm sorry, no. The panel of judges would have accepted... well, pretty much any answer except that one or Tommy Milone.

Sano looked  t i r e d...

I would be tired too if I was single handedly carrying this offseason for the last 80 games.

They look lazy and tired all over the place today. That Hicks "walk" was a perfect example, how the hell do you not know the count in that situation? This isn't the dog days of summer with your team 15 games back, "this isn't detroit, this is the super bowl man!"

For all the talk of Plouffe taking a step forward this year...his numbers besides home runs are down across the board from 2014. Dissapointing at bat by him there.

Twins are sure not acting like they are at home and control their fate.

Holding K.C. to only 1, is the only bright spot!!!!

Suzuki, could you possibly be any freaking slower?

Perhaps, by going to the county courthouse and getting his name changed to Plouffe?

Put me on the "keep Milone" list. He's got enough stuff and knows how to pitch. Keeping a lefty in the rotation is a plus.

He's solid, shouldn't be blocking guys like Duffey and Berrios when it comes down to it, but he is some real nice affordable depth and a nice piece if he is your #5.

Verducci says Mauer has not hit one into the right field corner all season long but then backs up that statement by saying he was really good at hitting the ball over the left field plexi glass at the Dome, apparently thinking this was 1991 and he was talking about Kirby Puckett as the plexiglass hasn't been around in over 20 years.

Saw something odd lately in Plouffe's swing. He un-weights his rear foot and then it loses traction, slipping backwards instead of providing drive forward. Probably this is from trying to stay square and avoid stepping in the bucket, but it removes his power. Almost as bad as when Hicks was doing the French Mistake. That rear hip has to come through, or you've got no power at all.

Bad habits can creep into a player's mechanics any time during the season. I also saw the same problem with one of the Royals hitters. I think it was Hosmer.

There's a fine line between "pitch framing" and "catcher and umpire conspiring to screw Plouffe on strike 3". :)

/ Perez pulled his glove up after the catch a good 4 inches

Tough to run a count when the pitcher is getting 3-5 inches off the plate on the outside.  Escobar and Plouffe run up on balls.
