Now That's a jersey!

Congrats to the boys in pinstripes   PJ's on a great, albeit totally unexpected first half!  After the past few years of drudgery, it's like a springtime morning, blossoms fresh on the breeze.  But---  there's a whiff of something else in the air...

 

Now, this is a major-league base-ball jersey.

 

So is this.  Classic, dignified.  Flowing script, pinstripes evoking the glory days of the greatest game.

 

Now, this on the other hand---  looks like something you have to argue with your 3 year old to put on at 9 PM on a summer evening, with the sun still high in the sky.    "NO!  I'm not wearing my pajamas!  It's still light out!"

This is just dreck.  I know, I know, revenue streams and all.  Have to keep 'em buying the new gear.  But does it have to look so horrid?

I love the throwback jerseys.

 

I've always been meh on the regular jerseys but at least they got rid of the horrible grey pinstriped road jerseys several years ago.

I love the jerseys in the first two pictures. Definitely my favorite ones they wear. I want one so bad.

 

I'm not a huge fan of the new jerseys, but they are acceptable to me.

Like the cream color on the '60's unis, as well as the pinstripes. Don't like the script on the front. No particular reason, just think it's kind of ugly. So take the old unis and put the new script on them. The current gray road unis are fine, but I wish they could be reworked a little so they don't bear a strong resemblance to the Atlanta road grays. And for me, that should be all they wear. No blue jerseys. No red jerseys. TC on the cap, not the 1987 M. The occasional century-old throwback games are fine but for the love of god please don't bring back the late '70's/early '80's look. Not ever.

I like names on jerseys.

 

I hate the powder blue and I don't much like this white thing.  You're right - they look like pajamas.
