Two days later and he's up to .340 for the Lookouts and 8 triples. 8 triples is insane for some one his size. For the last 10 games, he's hitting over .500 which is a Rod Carew kind of streak without the bunts.

I've been reading about Max for so long it seems like he's 30 but he's a kid if only 22! Certainly one of THE most intriguing prospects in the system. Don't know what the Twins do with him, but a move must be coming soon.

After tonight I have him 19 for 34 in the last eleven games. This is a .559 BA, fairly respectable. But, you wanna get crazy? He has 11 walks in those 11 games for a total on base % of an other worldly .698. We might just have to start paying him in Euros.

Well where do you want them ranked, in the 20s? They aren't elite prospects but they are better than minor league relievers, or position players that can't actually hit, etc. The Twins system isn't as deep as some posters seem to think.

Kepler has very little in common with Morneau as a hitter. Physical appearance maybe.

The people who evaluate farms systems are squarely in agreement with "some posters" here.   Regardless of industry opinion, I think it is a safe bet to say some posters find it more fun to be optimistic where you seem to thrive on pointing out every possible point of negativity.

With Kepler he has had a solid year, he had a little bit of a slump in late May/Early June before the recent tear.

However there are numerous questions on whether he is a prospect or not, and if so is it real. There have been plenty of Twins to have tears at AA, Joe Benson is a great example. The thing that makes me think he is a legit prospect is, he has always been very young for his league, and has noted wasn't healthy in years he has struggled. Is there HR power? no, but in looking at him, he could still put on a little weight. The question is what position does he play, and its a question where you hear so many different responses you aren't sure what they are. TR says he is a CF and its his best position but they play him elsewhere because of Buxton, Now he plays a bunch at 1B, but is that because he can't play LF better than someone else or is it that 1B makes the most sense for the team? Its just confusing,

As for future moves I'd move him up to AAA later this week, him at AA does little to no good for the Twins, he is on the 40 man roster, and having him play great in AA does very little, now I do understand the he is still young and is finally having success but when I look at the Twins and see holes at DH and OF I feelas if anyone in those positions should be pushed somewhat hard.

I like the comp that Dan Gladden gave him, a young Justin Morneau.

Watch his swing and look at his stature.  He reminds me of a young Shawn Green.
