Callis liked the Twins second day

Callis had an article on the best second day hauls.  Here's what he wrote on the Twins -

Pottsville (Pa.) Area High School's Travis Blankenhorn (third) and Grainger (Rutledge, Tenn.) High's Trey Cabbage (fourth) both profile as left-handed-hitting third basemen who can produce for average and power while getting the job done on defense. Maryland's Alex Robinson (fifth) is a power bullpen lefty who could have gone a couple of rounds higher before a late-season slump. Oak Forest (Amite City, La.) Academy 1B Kolton Kendrick (eighth) is a one-tool player, though that one tool is raw power that rivals that of anyone in this Draft.

I was sort of wondering if they'd keep stockpiling college relievers but they drafted some LH bats instead, and some pretty interesting ones too IMO.

KLAW likes Cabbage better than Blankenthorn according to his chat today. He also commented on Kendrik having one tool.

Here is what he wrote on the website: http://espn.go.com/blog/mlb-draft/insider/post?id=2362

The Twins led off with Illinois lefty Tyler Jay (1), a reliever all season who has the three pitches to be a starter in pro ball, and who has at least been kept stretched out this spring, so it shouldn't be as tough a transition. His ceiling is that of a No. 2 starter, and had he started all year for the Illini, he might have gone first overall. Kyle Cody (1A) and Alex Robinson (5) are more in line with recent Twins picks of relievers who could move to the majors quickly. Cody can get up to 97-99 mph in relief, while the lefty Robinson has been 94-96.

I preferred Trey Cabbage (4) to Travis Blankenhorn (3); in addition to having the better name, Cabbage is a better athlete with more power and is nine months younger. Both are infielders who might have to move to the outfield, but Cabbage has the better chance to stay on the dirt at third base. … Kolton Kendrick (8) earned some Larry Greene comparisons this spring as an all-or-nothing power bat limited to first base.

Pretty high praise for Jay.

I don't usually copy a whole section of pay content. Ya, he hates the Twins......

Law has personally said in chats that you can copy specific team sections. What you can't do is copy the entire article, but I will let mods decide.

Cool. I was actually posting my first comment from his chat. Said similar things in the pay article. Btw, if you are a draft fan, and are not paying, why not?*

I did enjoy the Twins second day draft and a lot of their 3rd day sections seem interesting too!  I had no strong preference on who should go 1st this year so I'll take the wait and see and cheer approach on Jay and Cody. :)

I like the Twins draft alot this year.  As always, I might have done things differently, but I'm fine with Jay and Cody, and I think Day 2 was good,  I might have taken Austin Rei over Blankenhorn.  I think he was the best catcher available and we need a catcher in the pipeline who is a legitimate prospect, but probably shouldn't draft for need in Round 3.

The more I read it the more Jay and Cody sound like a Disney Chanel/ Nickelodeon TV show about two best friends who always seem to find themselves in odd yet humorous situations... and you know it was always Cody's fault!

For the record, it's allowed.  Whole articles are bad, snippets like that are fine.  I should note that out of courtesy, you should link to the article.
