I hate to be a hater, but how much longer can the Twins put Mauer in the 3 spot in the lineup?

As a huge, unabashed fan of Mauer as I am.....i agree. if only for awhile even.

I'm glad Molly did the right thing in that situation and brought in Perkins in the 8th. I'm pretty sure anyone else promptly gives up multiple runs to Pablo and Hanley.

To be fair, he has the 2nd highest OBP on the team among qualifers.

(second to Trevor) (no, not May)

too early, and fwiw dude has come up huge with runners on (dozier/hunter)

 

I would think about moving mauer to 2nd for a bit to "get him going"

Hats off to Buchholz. He was great tonight. This is a great win for our Boyz. The Twins just know how to win right now and it is not by accident.

Mauer fan, too, but Molly needs to try that. Maybe 5th or 6th. Who would bat 3rd then?
