Max Kepler has definitely earned a September call-up. The team could use a young, fast lefty bat with gap power in the lineup, right about where Joe Mauer is today.

Max Kepler was just named MVP of the Southern League! Very well deserved.

Not a great close to the season for Max, but a great regular season overall.

 

His numbers in Chattanooga for the regular season were .322/.416/.531 (.947) in 482 PA with 9 HR, 71 RBI, 32 doubles, 13 triples, 18/22 SB, 67/63 BB/SO.

 

Hopefully Max can add a solid postseason and then a couple weeks in the show onto this great season.

Ouch, just looked at his game logs. 7 for 45 in his last 15 games and no XBH in his last 16. 

 

I'd think the 14 BB to 7 K kind of points to the dip being flukey though.

Moli said in AM Trib may bring Kepler up once Lookouts playoffs end.  He said we're aware of what he's doing.  That's good news, the kid deserves it
