He adds that the new contract is believed to at least triple that amount. It’s unclear how much the total value of the contract is, because the length of the deal isn’t currently known, but club officials have recently said they were discussing lengths in the 15- to 20-year range. Piecoro reports that there are indications that the new deal is indeed in line with those previously discussed parameters, which would suggest the total value is at least $1.4 billion." Anyone know what the Twins current deal is and when it expires? With our luck, it'll happen after the TV deals burst.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I don't know, but I think the Twins are tied to their deal for awhile. Didn't they have to renegotiate with FSN after their failed attempt at Twins TV or whatever? That was only five years ago or so.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Its a secret For some reason I thiink it is about 29 million. And was renegotiated about 2011-2012. But I've always wished we had more details especially with these huge contracts elsewhere - you Minnesotans just aren't big enough cable subscribers, $29 million -- found a story:http://www.thatstwinsbaseball.com/the-twins-new-tv-contract-and-its-impact-on-payroll/
