I always liked Thomas.  I remember him hitting Shannon Sharpe so hard on a play that he both 1) knocked Sharpe out and 2) intercepted the ball at the same time.  Probably something we don't celebrate as much 15 years later.  

 

Thomas was 42.

Was said to hear this, he was a pretty important player on my favorite team as I really got hooked into football as a kid.  The Vikings of his era are a group I can pretty much name from top to bottom.

He was a good player and always wore his heart on his sleeve.  I haven't looked, but if I recall, think he led the NFL in interceptions his rookie season with 9.  So sad....Such an awful disease.
