gmarais66 Verified Member Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Byron Buxton had two hits for the Salt River Rafters in a 6-3 win over Scottsdale on Wednesday. He also had two fielding errors. Max Kepler had one hit, a stolen base and an outfield assist. Pitcher Jake Reed earned the win, throwing two innings of scoreless relief, with four strikeouts. In Tuesday's season-opening game, Buxton went hitless, while teammate Eddie Rosario had two hits and a RBI.
nytwinsfan Provisional Member Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 The boxscore says he just had one error, http://mlb.mlb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?gid=2014_10_08_srrwin_scowin_1&t=g_box&sid=l119 Although he had another error the night before. That is a little disconcerting. Hopefully just him getting back into actual game mode.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Errors in minor league/fall/winter games are virtually meaningless. I wouldn't put any stock in it until someone writes up an eyeball evaluation on Buxton.
