NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Ok i came on tonght just to complain.... Why on gods earth did gardy pinch run casilla for plouff with 2 outs in the seventh? Especially the way plouff has been hitting... Hes not that slow anyway!!!!! Thats just bad management...... I would take plouff with another batting opportunity over casillas glove anyday as wellThat decision looks even worse now that Chicago has retaken then lead.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Perkins...uffdah. Single on 0-2 to a lefty in Dejesus, then a bomb to the worst player in the history of baseball*. *as described by any Cub fan edit: and yet another single given up on an 0-2 count. That simply should never happen.
mnfireman Verified Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Perk doesn't look very good tonight.

That simply should never happen. It definitely was a bad deal for the Cubs, but Soriano has a lot of competition for worst player category. If the Cubs are as desperate to get rid of them as the media reports, some team is going to get a pretty good DH option for the last couple years on his contract with the Cubs on the hook and paying most or all of it (like Zambrano). That was two prodigious, Thome-like shots. How many triple-deck-to-left shots have been hit in Target?
Dilligaf69 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Jeez Perk...really picked a bad spot to suck!
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 If there's no walk off here, this will be one frustrating loss.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Ladies and gentlemen. I am feeling the mojo tonight. Morneau or Dozier = Walk Off.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 What horrible luck. If that ball hits a little higher on the wall, that's a double.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 If Span has the same flu that I have been having, he could end up on the DL. There is a very nasty summer flu going around this year. And if other players catch it, we are going to be losing a lot of games for a while.Ouch! Hope you feel better soon. As a favorite movie of mine quotes, "Them summer colds are the worst!"
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 There we go! - walk off magic coming?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 If I've never said it and really, I can't say it enough, I Love Justin Morneau!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Ouch! Hope you feel better soon. As a favorite movie of mine quotes, "Them summer colds are the worst!"Chinatown...nice.
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Ugh. Doumit. Lets win it here, boys. I do not want this going to extras.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 C'mon Parms. Edit: C'mon Casilla. F.U. Casilla.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Casilla is on deck, but I'm guessing Mauer will hit here.
Dilligaf69 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Casilla is on deck, but I'm guessing Mauer will hit here. Who replaces Casilla then???
Dilligaf69 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 SOB!!!!! we needed a FLY ball Lexi!
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 There are not enough swear words in the English language to express how I will feel if the Cubs are highfiving on the field tonight.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Who replaces Casilla then???Well, hopefully no one if Mauer gets a hit. But he would have to play second if they went to extras.
Dilligaf69 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 That's terrible nobody out and a man on 3B...really! I know Dumit had a big hit earlier but that's his job to get Span home.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Completely don't understand how Mauer doesn't PH somewhere in the 9th. Supposedly he's going to be in the lineup tomorrow. If he can do that, he can play a partial game tonight.
one_eyed_jack Verified Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Unreal. Winning run on third with no outs and we can't get him home. Incidentally, I heard Soriano's last HR just landed somewhere in Lino Lakes.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 This is what drives me crazy about how they handle Mauer: If he can't pinch hit in the 8th or 9th like he should have, the PUT HIM ON THE %$#@ DL!!!!!
Vegeta Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Absolute piss poor managing by Gardenhire. WTF are you thinkin calling for the contact play. It's a sure out at home. If your gonna do something that stupid at least attempt the suicide squeeze. That was absolutely unacceptable.
asmus_ndsu Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Mark my words if plouff was still in this game instead of casilla we win
