I think the reason that Walters will be able to stay in the majors is because he has such great variations in mph between his pitches. Against the first Cubs hitter, he had his fastball at 89 and his offspeed stuff at 73.

If Span has the same flu that I have been having, he could end up on the DL. There is a very nasty summer flu going around this year. And if other players catch it, we are going to be losing a lot of games for a while.

Not a good first inning for the "Wall." A HR and a triple. I hope that he is also not coming down with the flu.

That does appear to be his greatest strength.

Yeah, that's not a "hit" by Revere. That's not even a hit in little league.

"Official" scorers.

After early trouble, the "Wall" is holding. Now we need to blast the Cubs' pitcher into oblivion and wear out their bullpen.

Nice double from Carroll, but you simply cannot get thrown out on the bases there.

Another base running gaffe.

Nice hitting by the Twins!! Bad base running but nice hitting, Plouffe's was a great hit. Too bad, if Doom holds up, we're in the lead. Oh well,, let's get Mastro home.

Ok i came on tonght just to complain.... Why on gods earth did gardy pinch run casilla for plouff with 2 outs in the seventh? Especially the way plouff has been hitting... Hes not that slow anyway!!!!! Thats just bad management...... I would take plouff with another batting opportunity over casillas glove anyday as well
