JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 For ChiTown and all of the other women who post here! The following photos were all posted by Dustin Morse of the Twins PR department on Twitter. Several weeks ago there was a story that several of the veterans planned a special fashion travel day. I know Jason Kubel was one of the organizers (sorry we didn't get to see that purple suit, Jason; wish you would have hit more) -- along with Mauer, Perkins (I think) and a few of the "new" veterans. Well yesterday, it finally happened. Enjoy their sartorial splendor. And if I'm violating your copyrights, Mr. Morse, i apologize but we really wanted to see these so please let 'em stay! I'm bad at this photo thing so I don't know how these will lay out exactly but in case you don't recognize anyone, it is: Swarzak in hot pink;Suzuki in light blue outside the bus;Santana in royal blue;Parmelee attending the Mad Hatter's tea party;Nolasco in purple and black;Morales in white w/hot pink vest;Phil Hughes -- another tea party participant;Guerrier and Perkins in citrus fruit colors;Kyle Gibson in gangster blue;Sam Fuld in splendiforous purple;Eric Fryer as a neon banana;P Flo in what I would call mauve;Fien is fine in lime;Escobar in dazzling white;Duensing in the pink;Dozier in Mossy Oak Camo and Mauer in boring blue ;Dozier in Camo -- gotta love that wall;Deduno in tropical orange;Burton in blazing blue; And Arcia in pinstripes!
70charger Verified Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 How much you want to bet Brian Dozier just had that hanging in his closet already?
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 I'm not one of the ladies but I'll still say Arcia looks pretty badass in that pic. And if they had some tommy guns they could be doing a bank job in the 20's.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 My favs ... and in no particular order ... hmmm ... so many! DozierArciaParms
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 Cool stuff. They should have to do that after every sweep.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 27, 2014 Author Posted June 27, 2014 My favs ... and in no particular order ... hmmm ... so many! DozierArciaParms They all make me smile but in terms of just looking great, I have to go with Santana and Escobar. And I really laugh about Mauer cuz it just looks so him.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 That's what I was thinking - somehow Joe still looks ordinary!
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Missed Correia's bellhop outfit (same as Escobar's) :
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I was looking at those as they were coming last night and had the same thought as others about Mauer. Interestingly, he is wearing exactly the same outfit that Suzuki is. And this is pretty much the only one of the bunch that is not costumy identifying its owner as belonging to the service industry (of one kind or another.) Perfectly acceptable summer business casual attire in any business and one can see it on a daily basis especially in seersucker form out here in the Nordeast. But black shoes with that Mauer? Not a fashion junkie by any means
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Author Posted June 28, 2014 Thanks for the Correia addition, Thrylos.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 28, 2014 Author Posted June 28, 2014 Missed Correia's bellhop outfit (same as Escobar's) : Makes me think he should be on Abbey Road.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Thanks for the Correia addition, Thrylos. That one was in the first link you sent me. He goes on my list ... as far as the look and the outfit goes.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 Makes me think he should be on Abbey Road. If he had longer hair and a beard ...
