Two things in that article I thought 'interesting:' that Nuñez commented on how the Yankees were never fun; and that stoic Joe Mauer was one of the planners of this.

 

I thought the Yankees comment was interesting as well.

 

Listening to some of Perkin's interviews, I am kind of under the impression he and Joe have gotten a little closer the last few years (last winter he and Joe built a hockey rink in Joe's backyard etc), I suspect he has a little influence in this sort of thing.

Pretty sure the Astros need Zubaz uniform pants to go with those orange shirts (and especially with the orange shoes the right fielder is wearing).

I remember thinking the Giants were flamboyant back in the 70s with their fancy orange stripes on their Adidas cleats.

Two predictions on Gibson before the game gets too far along: 1) He will set a career high in strikeouts. 2) He will yield at least one home run. These Astros swing from the heels!
