Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I saw this little blurb on the site I take the lineups from:Oswaldo Arcia is out on the field testing out his ankle after he sprained it on Thursday.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Then there was this:Update: Oswaldo Arcia said his sprained ankle feels better and he could possibly play Saturday.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Just in: Kubel in RF, Hicks in CF, Santana as DH
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino 20m Arcia said he tested his right ankle with some light running today. Indicated that went only so-so. Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino 22m Oswaldo Arcia is hitting in the cage now if ankle feels ok, he might hit on field. Saturday return possible, he said
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino 14m Arcia said the cage work went well. He plans to hit on the field. Ankle is taped up pretty tight. Would assume DH at best Saturday.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Kubes! RandBall @RandBall 18m Jason Kubel has neither an RBI nor an extra base hit since May 1. He does have 29 Ks in 65 ABs in that stretch.

I'd prefer a Kirk Gibson slugging gimp in the DH slot over Santana, though.
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Kubes! In fairness to Gardy, Kubes is 2 for 3 with 2 HRs and 5 rbi against Kuechel. If Kubel is going to be allowed to consume some of the oxygen in the Twins dugout, he needs to be in the lineup against this guy. OTOH, if he doesn't rake tonight, it should be Kube's last stand. Today's hypothetical question: What would be the result of a Kubel at bat against Correia?
