gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 This is a bit insane. I always sorta liked Oliva, tough guy, could hit LHP. Morneau tried to run through him once and ended up coughing up blood and missing a few games back in the day. http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/dodgers-guerrero-has-part-of-ear-bitten-off-by-teammate/

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Guerrero has had (will have?) plastic surgery on the ear. And will probably be out about 5 weeks (per what I heard on the radio this a.m.). First thing i thought of when I heard this? Jose Mijares should be grateful that Delmon Young wasn't an ear biter.

Sounds like Olivo had second thoughts about swallowing. Unless they had to retrieve it from Olivo's stool.
