Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 In Wisconsin we drink cheap yellow beer and wax nostalgically about Aaron Rodgers in the off season, and during the NFL season, gripe about the "Mud Ducks" Yeah and it's in exactly that order
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Sure there are, but on TV being attractive is required where radio does not have the attractiveness prerequisite. Yet all the Musicians are supposedly hot... Somewhere in the universe... You'd think there was a really ugly toothless guy who can sing and play guitar.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Depends on where you are... In Sweden you say(type) your name three times and then you throw your sister off a Cliff as a human sacrifice. It's the same method in Nebraska but they don't have any cliffs so they just have to suffer through it. In Chile... You hang a horseshoe upside down over the entry of a door. This will actually force the bad luck to run out. The horses are pissed but they can't verbalize their disgust. In Minnesota... You attend a church potluck and make out with someone named Gladys. Global... Just spin around three times and spit. Sisters are not not renewable resource, and i can well sympathize with the horses. I don't want to be hung up by shoes either. I guess i hope they have church potlucks at Target Field... Last ditch, i'll work on my dizzy spitting, but i wouldn't trust that very far. I guess it's the ol' loose lips sink ships approach for me and jinx (excepting highjinx) Thanks!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 5. Difficult Tasks -- According to research... When people look at a long to-do list. The Majority of Americans tend to assess and tackle the most difficult task first. I must be in the minority... When doing these Game Thread introductions... I find that thought #5 is the most difficult to come up with. So I tried to switch it up and do thought #5 first and it didn't work... It just made thought #9 even harder. My problem is i always seem to put making the to-do list on that list, and invariably it's the last thing i tackle... But some day, i will do something useful, i'm sure of it!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 TK is really well spoken and has explained Gardy's rationale for roasting Hicks very clearly and intelligently. Man he has a face for radio. And to be fair... TK is sitting right next to LaPanta. How many guys can survive that? Diehard... John Bonnes.... After that the list dwindles. They need to put TK next to Sid Hartman
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Dozier can make routine plays look routine. That's a cool thing about him.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 That's a bummer... Gibby may want to keep the runner closer so he doesn't beat a grounder to 2nd.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Gibson don't worry about no WHIP.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 This is awesome... I got the Game Thread to myself... I can post naked and run around singing at the top of my lungs.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Score early .... Score often (Oh, and I've been relieved of about 1/2 of the political BS -- Nebraska had its primary on Tuesday. Now if we can get Iowa's over on June 3, we may have a month or so of relative peace!)

That's the HBO version, i think: The Game of Threads... (Sorry, got distracted a moment, but caught the bases loaded >|)

Twins Twerp Provisional Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I wonder how pissed chris young was when Jack stole that goose?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Hey... How ya Doin... (Puts clothes back on) Iowa... Probably talking Ethanol. Not much. Republican Senate primary race getting very nasty -- 5 candidates. And one of the front runners is a woman with guns all over one ad (she's pro, of course). Then one of the male front runners runs another ad with guns all over the place attacking her. All gives me the willies.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I wonder how pissed chris young was when Jack stole that goose? Fe-Fi-Fo-Fum Jack Z does a lot of things to piss the people of Seattle off. The money I spent on rhyming classes seem to have been pointless.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino 2m Colleges of last 4 pitchers to face #mntwins, going back to Thursday: Princeton (Young), UNC (Miller), Duke (Capuano), Yale (Breslow). Fortunately, it didn't help their pitching all that much.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 They should just pace it off and turn around and fire. YES, YES, YES, YES, YES!! I could go for an old fashioned duel with multiple participants. Draw straws for who goes first and the winner just keeps taking on the next one until its down to one. Wonder if the party would go for that???? Would make for great TV.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Iowa... Probably talking Ethanol. For a second it looked like 'taking Ethanol' to me, and my reaction was "It's Gibson tonight, not Correia, right?"
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Nothing like a tall 1st baseman. A totem pole is pretty close.

I'd watch and it would cut special interest off at the knees. I am Brilliant... Ain't I
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Not good news: Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino 6m Pelfrey threw innings of 1-run ball tonight for @rocredwings. 5 hits, 1 walk, 3 Ks. 81 pitches.5 inningsI'm sure he needs much more rehab.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 A totem pole is pretty close. Bill James, on A's 3b Carney Lansford's defense at the end of his career: "Steady as the Rock of Gibraltar, with about the same range".
