Don't do cable, but mlb here, so I'm gonna watch and see the exact place, I was referred to as the "scrape goat" for the loss:roll:

How about "lucky charm":p

Nope Sorry... Limestone was the lucky charm and his good voodoo was stronger than your bad Voodoo.

The thing about Voodoo... It comes and goes... Tomorrow you could be the man.

Hmm ... sounds like a post-game 'things to think about' start ...

Checking out Pitchf/x data on Brooks Baseball confirms that this ump didn't have his best game today.

A couple bad ball calls went against Hughes and one laughably bad call against Quintana (Edited to add: Perhaps that Quintana call was a missed bunt - basically the same color)

Actually, this was one of his better games:

"C. B. Bucknor has consistently been regarded as the worst umpire in Major League Baseball in anonymous polls of active ballplayers:

  • In a 2003 Sports Illustrated survey of 550 active major league players, Bucknor was voted as the worst umpire in MLB, with 20.7% of the vote.[2]
  • In an updated 2006 SI survey, Bucknor was again voted MLB's worst umpire, with 21% of the players' votes.[3]
  • In a 2010 ESPN survey of 100 active players taken after Jim Joyce's blown call that cost Armando Galarraga a perfect game, Bucknor was once again named the worst umpire in baseball (while Joyce was named the best)."[4]

Sample PITCHf/x strike zone: August 15, 2009. It was this strike zone that prompted SB Nation's Jeff Sullivan to declare Bucknor's employment as an umpire "not good for the game."
