  1. Yes and there have been many coaches and developmental staff poached by other teams. This is a new development with this FO and speaks well of them. I don't think it is realistic to think owners who still employ Dave St Peter will dump Falvey. They have been loyal to a fault and you have to acknowledge the overall improvement of this organization under Falvey. The areas where the Twins have, IMO failed, are under the jurisdiction of ownership and Mr St Peter.
  2. I'm having a hard time deciphering this post. I'm guessing you consider Gleeman a hardo? I would describe him as informed and balanced. He is not afraid to criticize those that he shares hallways with daily. I respect that. If anything sometimes he is a Twins Bobo such as with his great esteem for Festa. I didn't need Gleeman's opinions to become dumbfounded by Twins management this off-season. Spending aside, the messaging was oddly self-destructive. I am enjoying this team and have followed this franchise through thick and thin. The vast majority are not as devoted and the indisputable attendance numbers suggest the vast majority agree with Gleeman's hard line on management.
  3. Nice article @Jason Wang. Are you a writer at Brewer Fanatic or merely a fan such as myself? It is interesting to look at Christian Yelich's career. After a fantastic star-making start, he really dropped off for a few years before picking it up last year and now just crushing this year. Is there any explanation for this from those in the know? I'm guessing an injury in 2020.
  4. Zebby's innings pitched the last 3 years are 95, then 105 last year and 78 so far this year. This is not some string bean trying to ramp up, the guy looks like a horse. It will be interesting to see how his command plays with the tight box in the International League.
  5. Welcome to the bandbox in the International League, Zebulon. Good luck man.
  6. I think this is a pretty reasoned counterpoint to the article. That is why they play the games and we watch.
  7. We are on the doorstep of the Era of Zebulon.
  8. Yes Sonny thinking he was something he maybe hadn't been contributed to the narrative. Of course you want a player to have that unwavering confidence.
  9. What percentage of these college hitters play in the independent wooden bat summer leagues, all of them? How much does their performance with wooden bats weigh in on their evaluation?
  10. Welp now we know Ashbury can hit middle middle fastballs.
  11. I've been poking around and there doesn't seem to be a consensus on which position is more difficult/valuable. I'm guessing they are close and it comes down which player's traits fit which position better.
  12. After Lee looked so good at 2nd yesterday it led to some commentary. This post from @Joe Schmitt " Wow, very impressive plays by Lee. His throws, in particular, are excellent and right on the money. Would love to see him playing every day there." and @Jeff K "no doubt, this is what, I think, most of us were hoping...that Brooks Lee could be a good 2nd bagger. Wow!" Got me wondering what the consensus was. I'm guessing most wouldn't move Lewis. Lee looks to have a better arm, is more polished and has the instincts of a guy who started practicing with college players in his early teens. He sure did look fantastic at second too. Weigh in on which position you think is more valuable from a defensive perspective. That is where I would play Lee. I would not worry about moving Lewis if and when he is available.
  13. Everything I have put forward is fact, that is all. This post of yours is not based on fact. It is just conjecture. But again it really doesn't matter. I think most in real time knew they would not spend what was necessary to keep Sonny.
  14. This is patently false. Sony Gray pitched the most innings under Rocco in 2023 than he had in any other season since 2015. The 3rd most innings of any season in his career. The only seasons with more innings pitched were in his early prime, a very young and strong Sonny. If anything Gray, if he is thinking clearly, has 75 million reasons to be thankful to the Twins and Rocco, lol. Gray married his highschool sweetheart from Smyrna Tennessee a 4.5 hour drive from Cincinnati. Now you have some logical reasons for Sonny's departure. That and a banker's budget up here in Minnesota. I count 20 of 32 starts where Sonny pitched into the 6th.
  15. I just don't understand why Keaschall keeps getting compared to the much smaller Tanner Schobel and now Pedroia. The guy is listed at 6'0" 190, but one look at him in his current form and he is easily a very ripped 200 plus lbs. That is not diminutive. That is a tall NFL running back. Anyway I need to just let go because it does not matter, lol. Keaschall is who I am watching and he may be on the same track as Lee. We'll see him next year then at this pace.
