  1. Nice write up Andrew, TY. There is a ton of talent coming out of Georgia this year, both college and HS. Don't know if the Twins will be able to snag any of it, but some of these kids are truly legit talents on both sides of the ball. You may very well see two kids from the same HS (Buford) get drafted if teams feel that they can pull them away from their college commits.
  2. Totally agree with the sentiment. However, while I would love to see a promotion to AAA and feel that he has done nothing to dissuade that thought, it's not really hurting him to continue to pitch at AA. My (grossly uneducated) opinion is that we will most likely see a second half move up to AAA at some point, but if I remember correctly Winder isn't currently on the 40 man roster so where he throws his innings shouldn't matter as much. But then I am wrong as often (or more) than I am right so we shall see ?‍♂️?
  3. Not disagreeing with the pretty obvious correlation that Buck isn't directly responsible for some of his injuries. But it's baseball , and I've seen plenty of guys do similar actions (at multiple levels - HS, college, professional) and not get hurt nearly as bad as Buxton has. Sometimes guys are just unlucky.
  4. He seems to have that career minor league journeyman stigma. While his numbers in the Majors have been a little tepid, his (minor league) numbers have been fairly decent. Beats me other than that.
  5. Not really. A couple... maybe. Most of them though are really just plain, dumb (bad) luck. A really good comparison might be Michael Brantley and the absolute litany of injuries he suffered early on in his career. Some players are just snake bit, and like Lucas said... sometimes it's not fair (although no one ever said life if fair ?‍♂️).
  6. It's just a broken bone in his hand that was the result of a freak play. His value will be fine.
  7. Hey Seth, Great job as always. Any updates on Lewis and Canterino?
  8. Thanks Seth. Love the additional notes on the Top 20. And as always, thanks for your tireless dedication to all things Twins. You rock!
  9. Not really Twins minor league related, but… we are here at Hammond Stadium this morning for a Perfect Game tournament. Super bummed that the mussels don’t play until tomorrow (we are done today and heading home after the game ?).
  10. I believe he was drafted as a position player and didn't start pitching until 2019 (3 appearances I believe). So really it makes sense that if he is a pitcher now, he would be at A instead of AA.
  11. Really just think a lot of it is him just adjusting to professional ball. I'm sure the ability was already there, just needed to get acclimated and throwing on a consistent basis.
  12. Nicely put Ted. I'd have to agree with the whole list. Ready to see these guys come up and play. Don't even care about how well they do... just want them to get some time to contribute and adjust to the majors.
  13. I concur Ted. Was great to see him starting to put everything together. Have you heard any updates on how he is doing?
  14. His delivery is fine... until a point at which it's not.
  15. Hey Seth, Somewhat off topic I guess, but you mentioned Landon Leach at the start of the article as a former teammate of Julien. I thought I had heard that he was no longer with the organization, and BA has no stats listed after 2018. Is that the case? Hadn't heard anything more.
  16. Thanks Seth. I didn't really know anything about this kid. Sounds like a heck of a player though, and a potential poster child for the Positional Flexibility Fan Club to champion ?.
  17. I understand your thinking and point of view, but I'm with SarasotaBill on this one. His motion is fine (until it isn't). When my son first started pitching and showed a bit of an aptitude for it, his delivery/arm slot was viewed as odd. People kept trying to get him to change it to a more traditional, higher arm slot (he has a low 3/4 slot and looks like he's throwing the ball from 2B to 1st). However, he kept going back to it and kept having success so they finally let him be and go with it ?. Basically my point is that while Canterino's delivery looks odd at first, upon closer inspection... it just works. Whether or not he will have long term succes... we shall see, but so far the early results are promising.
  18. That's understandable, but my thought is... it isn't. Now this time next season, I might raise the eyebrows a little, but as of now it's just "Welcome to pro ball kid. Watch, learn, adjust."
  19. What.....?? Pitching gurus? Oh.... thought you meant cookies. Sorry, my bad. ?‍♂️
