  1. Wow, PH Mauer! Interesting call, Mollie!
  2. Buxton needing contact against Kimbrel here to tie the game! Molitor not going to PR Kepler here it appears? Hmmm.
  3. This Barnes guy has been helping out the Twins all weekend!
  4. Agreed. Fantastic rally this inning.
  5. Just because we complain a bit doesn't mean we're rubes who thought the Twins would win 100 games, dude.
  6. Games like yesterday and today are good opportunities to spend time with your significant others: "Honey, don't you normally watch the games on the weekend?" "Yes dear, but sometimes spending time with you is more important than a stupid ball game". With that said, I'm off to pick up my girlfriend from the hair salon!
  7. Sale's gonna strike out 20 Twins today. This Twins offensive effort reminds me a lot of early April last year - tons of strike outs, no confidence at the plate, and very weak contact.
  8. WHAT IS HAPPENING.....so we lasted 2 innings before the game was over yesterday, now we're giving up a 3-0 lead to Sale before the Twins bat? Not good. The Red Sox aren't the Royals, apparently.
  9. Twins have hit Sale well for the past couple of years. Ya never know, folks!
  10. Sorry, I was looking at stats page that wasn't yet updated with today's info, and I didn't stick around after that 8-run 2nd inning to see the carnage!
  11. He hasn't given up a run in his last 4 outings. I think he should be sleeping well at night. As for Tonkin, good riddance. Maybe he catches on elsewhere, who knows. Would be nice to see the Twins bring up some prospects and try to win games. Lots of bumps and bruises on this team right now and there are guys chomping at the bit to have a cup of coffee.
  12. Rucinski not looking very interesting here. GET AN OUT, DUDE!
  13. Geez, did the inning end yet? Looked away at 4-0 now I see it's 7-0. Good grief!
  14. Welp, that's ball game. Too bad for all those fans at Target Field on this gorgeous day!
  15. Tepperware looking more like a Rubber Maid out there on the hill.
  16. Ahhhh Polanco with the ERRRRRORRRR. Rats. He was due, reckon.
  17. Chris Young sighting. Talented player, seems to have bounced around a bit for the past few years and hasn't found a full-time role anywhere. Strange.
  18. Hughes hitting that 6th inning wall....
  19. Nice pop-up double Sano! We'll take it! Hey, Grossman too! 2-0!
  20. Does Buxton catch that ball? Kepler was a country mile from that when it landed.
  21. I can't eat donuts these days. Ladyfriend and I are hitting the beaches of Costa Rica in a month and she's determined we look trim and toned. This means NO SUGAR and daily trips to the gym. If I'm lucky I can sneak a graham cracker every once in a while. Took this photo out the window today. Lot of activity today, even got to see lava this morning before the sun came out. http://i68.tinypic.com/e289s.jpg
  22. I always liked DanSan - I guess I've had a soft spot since his torrid rookie campaign when he carried the Twins on his back for a month. If he clears waivers (did he already?) then will he report to AAA? I think he'll find an MLB team that would need him at some point this season. Sorry to see ya get the boot Danny, but it was the right move! Oddly, today's a day where we could have used him out there. Grossman in the OF tonight then?
  23. Mauer is Mauer. Walks. Bloop singles. Groundouts. Choppers. More walks. The guy has such a good eye and he knows his bat is out of juice. So he'll just keep walking. Is that want you want from a #4 hitter? No. You want that out of a leadoff guy. But he can't run. So once again we have a problem. Mauer's an old player in a new era, a symbol of days past. Give him credit for going out there. Doesn't look like he's having much fun, but it never really did. Not sure whether to feel sorry for him, feel sorry for fans, or just grin and bear it. The Twins don't have much choice at this point, and neither do we.
  24. I think Pressly stays, sorry folks. Tonkin's next out the door and I'm guessing he's as close as Gibson was going into this morning. I don't know much about the relievers we have down in AAA, but I'd certainly like a look. Hey, how about the Duff Man? Pretty good so far. The bullpen hasn't been a total disaster, for what it's worth.
