  1. Rosario just keeps getting it done here. Encouraging to see the bats coming around for the guys we'd hoped. Bad strikeout by Buxton there, alas. He's on the way up but not out of the woods yet with those K's.
  2. Okay Joe, no GIDP here. C'mon buddy.
  3. Wally Work-a-lot really needs to take a chill pill. I'm on Mountain Time down here but my company works on Eastern Time. So I log in from my home office at 6am, get off at 3pm. Once you get used to that early start, getting off at 3pm rocks. Go to the grocery store, gym, whatever - home safe and sound by 5pm when everyone else is still spinning their wheels out and about.
  4. Ugh. John Ryan Murphy. What a putz. In a way, I kinda hope that Hicks goes into a deep slump and has a terrible year. Is that wrong?
  5. By the way, I love how we can bicker about broadcasters and semi-retired players like Perkins. It's a good sign that our squabbles are so minor right now!
  6. Torii started broadcasting 5 games ago, right out of the gate after retirement. He's gonna struggle. I like the guy, like what he has to say, and it doesn't bother me if he stumbles a bit. He's a smart guy who knows the game. I think LaTroy will be more polished, but that's just a guess. I'm unsure when he'll appear but maybe it's later in the summer.
  7. Maybe Kent Hrbek will get himself together too and DH next year? Perkins was decent between 2011 - 2013. That stuff isn't coming back, it went away a long time ago. Enjoy the memories but let's pretend he was Dennis Eckersly. He was a decent closer for a couple years on some bad teams.
  8. I don't think anyone (aside from the homerest of homers) wants to see Perkins back in a Twins uniform. He'd make a good broadcaster or something, and he seems like a community service champion as well. He had a good run, I wish him the best.
  9. This A's manager is just letting Valdez wear it tonight.
  10. Mauer to the opposite field, gets in on the dong parade.
  11. Now Dozier! Ooooh, this is fun.
  12. Ha, I thought I was the only one who might have noticed that. This wasn't what Sherri had in mind when her husband said 'I got us tickets for tonight to celebrate your birthday'.
  13. Why is Castro batting in the 6 spot? Seems an odd place for the worst hitter on the team.
  14. Or a Dozier pop-up. Just imagine if Dozier was hitting like last year and Mauer was hitting .280. I think the Twins would be leading the division!
  15. I did! I said, "wow, a Minnesota Twins hat! That's my team!" -- he said "Ah yes, good team" or something like that. I got the impression he liked the hat, but didn't know much about them. Still....
  16. Nice win! Phew! Above .500 for April, whoda thunk?
  17. No need for this drama, Kintzler. Uggggh!
  18. Almost forgot to share: so I'm in a taxi in Colombia yesterday, and look what the driver has on his dash board! Twins mania, sweeping the world! http://imgur.com/a/BdaTb
  19. Nervous about Rogers here. He's been off lately. Hopefully these quiet KC bats will help.
  20. This ump is calling this outside strike all day long to Twins hitters, but Twins pitchers haven't got it - maybe I'm a bit biased?
  21. Dang it, Mollie. The time to pull Hughes was before that base rap by Escobar! Grrr.
  22. Also, interesting to see how Robbie Grossman is slowly being replaced by Vargas here. Buxton's not struggling anymore, Rosario's bat is hot, and Vargas has taken over the DH role against lefties.
  23. Anyone catch the score in DC? It's 22-5, Nats. Rendon has a 5-for-5 day with 9 RBI at this juncture.
  24. Oh yeah, Sano! Becoming one of the premier players in MLB right before our eyes!
