  1. Nothing like facts to get in the way of a good meme. Now watch him crush baseballs in Spring Training and muck up the 1B issue even further.
  2. Lets see, Mickey Gasper was the headline photo in the Catcher's Pipeline article and got DFA'd, and now Aaron Sabato is the headline photo for the first baseman. What's the over/under on Sabato being DFA'd next week?
  3. Looking at Brujan's stats, he's increased his batting average and OPS+ every season. At least the dude is trending in the right direction.
  4. Derek Derek, turn on the reliever making machine.
  5. Good people are good leaders just by being themselves around people. If that is Josh Bell, he will be an asset in the clubhouse. I'm hoping the 2026 Twins get off to a decent start and stay competitive.
  6. Aye Carumba. Not to pick on you Bigfork Guy, but after 2 years of the NUMEROUS posts by many that the Twins need a RH hitting corner guy to hit lefties, we're now asking why?
  7. Pretty much. It took the struggling Brent Rooker "3-teams-later" to become the slugging Brent Rooker.
  8. The 3 bats? Dingbat, Wombat and Moonbat. We're rounding out our roster with guys whose OPS+ are 76, 46 and 11 (100 being average). It could be a long summer.
  9. It will be interesting come spring training what kind of velocity Ober's fastball has. Hopefully his health issues in 2025 were the reason for the drop in velocity. We will see.
  10. Agreed, at times he reminded me of a major league pitcher on rehab fine tuning his pitches and just taking hitters down in the process. He looks like he could be an asset in the Twin's bullpen in 2026. Longer term his outlook might be as a starter, but maybe pitching in relief is better for his arm and body.
  11. I nominate Matt for assistant pitching coach.
  12. Hey, did you hear who the Twins signed? Me neither.
  13. The news release from MLB says, "Those investments have been finalized, and the new partners in the club are Glick Family Investments, George G. Hicks and Craig Leipold." These are the three investors approved by MLB, and there is no mention of any groups or other persons involved in the transaction.
  14. Glick Family investments, a New York based family managing their wealth acquired mostly through diamonds and real estate investments I believe.
  15. And Taylor Rogers was a starter in the minors right up to where the Twins put him in their bullpen.
  16. "TWINS DAILY INVESTIGATES: Just How Many Pohlads Are There?" This made my day, lol, didn't even have to read the article.
  17. It's my opinion that there are no longer any Pohlads that care about the Minnesota Twins in a baseball sense. Through whatever financial endeavors they were pursuing, it left the Twins with an approximate $500 million debt. This debt influenced the hoped for sale negatively enough to prevent any suitor from providing an adequate offer for the Pohlads. They shifted gears and acquired some minor partners in hopes that the injected cash into the Twins will "right" the balance sheet to then again pursue another sale. I might be wrong but that's how I see it. It's not baseball as normal. This is the worst of the worst situation as a Twins fan. Budget? What budget? Plan? What Plan? I'm of the mindset now that I don't care to even talk or read about what they might do or what they should do because it doesn't matter, it's not going to be what they will do. What are they doing? Who knows, but it isn't about winning baseball games.
  18. So, if the Twins make a move and no one hears it, did they really make a move?
