  1. Why pull Berrios? Do you want to win the game?
  2. What the hell! You can’t pull him at 85 pitches in a 0-0 game
  3. What if Mauer didn't injure his knee or get the concussion. Man...
  4. What’s the difference between a split DH and a regular DH?
  5. Hopefully all the postponements can reset a number of the Twins and get them out of their early season slump
  6. Was going to post that I think Mike Vasil should go to the Twins. Googled him real quick and saw he almost had a perfect game the other day. He may shoot up higher than the Twins pick.
  7. Give him 3 more years. Barring injury he will pass Kirby Puckett as most hits with Twins. He is reviving his career and theoretically could play 5-6 more years without the grind of being a catcher. Amazing to see after the concussion hurt him so much
  8. Excited about this kid after a strong 2nd half last year after being given a challenge early in the year.
  9. Small sample size but man he looks good. If he hits .280 this year I wouldn’t be opposed to a 2 year extension.
  10. 1.300 OPS. He has some walks!
  11. I am loving this Logan Morrison signing. Reminds me of Rondell White and Butch Huskey
  12. Wouldn’t be shocked if they saw the early forecasts in Rochester and just wanted him to get innings in to stay fresh. 3 games postponed up north already
  13. Rooker is sure starting Ice cold. He did last year too before he went an absolute tear. Hope he picks it up quick
  14. Drives me nuts how many good pitches Mauer just watches go down the middle
  15. Littell stuff was not sharp yesterday. He pitched out of jams. Had a lot of pitches at that point
  16. Apparently only 5 players in history of mlb have that combo (over 1000 at bats). Rickey Henderson, Ryan Ludwick, Cody Ross and 2 others. Apparently it is much more common to bat left and throw right. There are hundreds of examples of that
  17. This is speculation, but with how slender he is he is going to remain in the pen. The first season he had rough stats as a starter. I think he could be a lights out pen guy but probably doesn't have the stuff to be a starter.
  18. In his first outing with Cedar Rapids, Jovani threw 1 shutout inning. He walked 3, but fortunately he also struck out 3. He will need to show the type of command he had in rookie ball as he develops.
  19. Jovani Moran Position: RP B/T: L Height: 6'1" Weight: 170 Born: April 24, 1997, age 20-21 season Drafted by the Twins as a 7th round pick, 200th overall out of Carlos Beltran Academy in Puerto Rico in 2015 Signing Bonus: $275K Jovani was very raw when drafted out of Puerto Rico in 2015. I thought at one point I read he was a shortstop until his senior year, where he pitched but could not find that information (please link if you are able to find a reliable source on that). He started in the GCL and had a 4.12 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 19.2 innings. He also had 9 walks. He missed 2016 due to elbow surgery removing bone chips. In 2017, he took a huge step forward. In 2017 he pitched for Elizabethton and was named Twins Daily short season pitcher of the year (http://twinsdaily.com/_/minnesota-twins-news/minnesota-twins-minor-leagues/twins-2017-short-season-pitcher-of-the-year-r6077 ). He was moved to the bullpen and flat out dominated. He pitched 24.2 innings with a 0.36 ERA and 45 strikeouts with just 5 walks. If there was anything to fault him with, he gave up 1 home run. I think we will live with that. He is slender, fields his position well and has a mature approach on the mound. He throws in the low 90's and is making progress on his off speed pitches. He is starting the season in Cedar Rapids and could move up quickly if he continues the progress he showed in 2017.
  20. 2 stints with the Giants. Phillies and Pirates as well. https://deadspin.com/engelb-vielma-tracker-all-your-hot-engelb-vielma-moves-1822464261
  21. I think he's been on 6 teams since last year. Think he's with the Orioles now.
  22. Current count Solo: 11 Multi run: 1
  23. Current count Solo: 10 Multi run: 1
