  1. I'm done with Bradbury too. Yeah, two guards next to him would make him better, but it won't help trying to pick up one yard going right up his back. He just cannot do a tush-push/QB sneak and it's a big part of today's game. He has to go. Overall I like your agenda. I don't care for Skattebo as the RB though. I want to switch it up to a shifty RB, not a thumper. Well ALSO have a thumper, but I want the shifty guy to be the primary RB. It's early and I'll likely change my mind later, but TreVeon Henderson is my horse at this time.
  2. Right, Deion will absolutely break tampering rules presuming his sons aren't on his team. And I don't know how an NFL team can have a HC that insists on getting all the cameras and all the attention all the time. Yeah, Jerry Jones would love it because he cares about those things too over winning, but I'd have to think that puts the Cowboys in the cellar for the foreseeable future.
  3. Poor clock management and a lack of route diversity, yeah those things KOC should have been better at, but I kind of think the main offensive issues kind of put the team in a box the last two weeks. And these were issue everyone knew the Vikings had going into the year, but insanely really didn't impact them until late. Darnold got away with holding the ball way too long all season long. They couldn't run on obvious run down plays all season long. The pulling lineman couldn't block out in space all season long. But somehow for 17 weeks they mostly got away with it. These were clear issues, but not really fixable with the players on hand, so I think it's hard to blame them for thinking their best show was to band-aid these things one more time.
  4. Langerhans' first four paragraphs basically say that there isn't enough information on these guys and there are unranked guys that are probably better than some of these guys but he can only go off what they got paid in bonus. He also indicates his info is coming from 'insiders' who obviously won't be objective. It's not like amature hobbiest scouts are down there watching in these countries, all the scouts and evaluators have a vested interest in either specific players or specific teams and that's who's feeding Langarhans the information. I like Fangraphs, but doing their FV for these players seems like an exercise of the unknown. I don't think it's very reliable. Or even at all reliable.
  5. For sure. I don't trust their drafting though so I'd rather the IOL be fixed via free agency. As much as I'd rather not, I guess I wouldn't be against going after a RB early in the draft. It does feel like it might be one of the harder positions for Adofo-Mensah to completely whiff on again.
  6. How about in the deal they just trade the Pohlad's their 10% share or whatever they own of the White Sox? The Pohlads could then share their business plan for right-sizing baseball teams with the Reinsdorfs.
  7. If his hand was so injured it prevented him from throwing the ball away instead of taking sacks, then he shouldn't have been playing.
  8. The last two games are too fresh in our memories. I'd guess his value tanked hard, but not nearly as low as we currently think. He's still probably no less attractive than Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins or Aaron Rodgers. 41M is way too high to pay him next year, but it still will most likely be less guaranteed money than Wilson or Cousins will get so you might get a taker. Hopefully we'll have more clarity in a few weeks.
  9. They should have gone after the South Dakota State QB. Most people thought he'd declare for the draft but instead he goes to Iowa?!? Where I guess he'll get the attention of NFL scouts by handing the ball off 50 times a game?
  10. For what it's worth, I think the decision was made before this game: https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/kevin-oconnell-appreciates-sam-darnolds-work-but-says-it-did-not-work-out-in-the-end Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell said after Monday night’s loss to the Rams that quarterback Sam Darnold has a “special place in my heart” because of the way he played this season. From my experience, players usually have a 'special place' in the coach's heart when they are heading out the door.
  11. As expected. You're a Vikings fan after all.
  12. The losses absolutely don't make anyone feel better, at this point, each one makes it feel more and more like a lost cause. It's not ownership because the four men's pro sports teams have four very different kinds of ownership. I'm not going to make a definitive statement as to what the issue is (hence my request for a comprehensive study) but my guess is the fans and the media here aren't as aggressively vocal and don't demand as much from the players and the teams that the coastal, southern and rust-belt teams get. I'd guess the players get accustomed to a cozy, locally-focused regular season environment and when they get into the hostile, nationally-scrutinized post season environment it's like a bucket of cold water poured over their heads. But again, I'd like something researched.
  13. Yeah, that's positive. As I mentioned before, I think they need to get a new OL coach too. while the blocking is unacceptable the situational awareness is awful too.
  14. But that doesn't track, because the players on the four Minnesota sports teams don't come from Minnesota and there's no chance that all four of our teams coincidentally all just acquire mentally weak players by nature while the other cities don't. Something HERE makes them weak or allows them to think trying hard but losing, or just making the playoffs, or being happy to play the game is satisfactory enough. It's doubtful you can change the entire state culture, so you have to find out what exactly the source is and you have to find a way to counter it.
  15. The Vikings, Twins, Wolves and Wild need to all collaborate on a commissioned study as to why men's pro teams in this state always choke. That sounds like a joke but it's not. There's zero chance it's a coincidence and the only common denominator seems to be atmosphere. What about this area specifically imparts this anti-clutch activity, and how do the teams counter it? I know it must be psychological, but there are cures for psychological issues.
  16. Yeah, I'll start it right away. Share your optimistic thoughts here everyone!
  17. Honestly, I think the perfect cap to the season would be to let Reichard miss a 60-yard field goal.
  18. I'm pretty sure the only teams with a QB contingency plan are the teams who don't make the playoffs because their teams are so bad.
  19. For sure. I saw it happen in 2017 and 2001.
  20. No, the Super Bowl was just an exhibition until the 1970 season, it was like saying you won the Pro Bowl a week after winning the championship! I'm just having fun. But I'll count it if any Packer fans want to challenge me!
  21. Well if they can't help Darnold increase his 2025 payday, they can at least help Akers!
  22. Wrong!!! The NFL/AFL merger didn't happen until the 1970 season. The Vikings won the NFL championship in 1969 which was only later retconned to include both leagues!!!!!
  23. For the firing squad?
  24. Haha, funny. Replay assist doesn't help with facemasks! Right.
  25. Julien goes down looking at strike three once again!
