    I get it, but I'm not tired of them winning the Super Bowl any more than I was tired of the Patriots winning it repeatedly. I was always, and still am, simply tired of the Vikings not winning it. I've got teams I absolutely do not want to win it all. As long as those teams all fail to win it, I guess that's my consolation prize for getting let down by the Vikings again.

    I honestly don't see it. I see the missed calls, but it seems to me every game has a half dozen of these at least. But I don't hate KC they way you guys do. I notice EVERY missed call when the Packers are playing.

    Agreed it's not consistent. And everyone's talking about it, which means that's probably the thing they'll emphasize next year. And then they'll find something else to bungle.

    As much as I criticize the officials, they aren't throwing games. That's pretty much the only thing that could crash this runaway trillion dollar industry.

    It's really hard for me seeing the Jets, Bears or Raiders going back to a defensive HC. Not a lot of good looking offensive guys though so I suppose one of those teams might bite.

Most of this is conjecture from PFT, but I don't know how you can argue with it. Wisconsin told this kid he can't leave (because of course they did, Wisconsin thinks they're soooo entitled) so the kid just called a lawyer who said, 'so what, they don't own you', he unenrolled and went to Miami. There is no way they, or any other school can stop this from happening. A transfer portal window?     The Eagles are better used to the cold, but I think conventional wisdom about snowstorm games being fought in the trenches is out dated. The players with the biggest disadvantage in poor footing games, are the defensive backs who have to run backwards while the route runners run forwards. The better passing team may have the advantage. Which would be the Rams.

    Did you not read the full article? It is relevant today because it spells out the most likely reason the Pohlad's are selling the Twins. To get liquidity for their real estate empire. This series had nothing to do with the Twins payroll.

    Interior OL is my top priority for free agency. I'm only looking at a good free agent WR if I'm the GM and I have an inclination that I'm going to have to trade Addison before he starts complaining about an extension which I'm unlikely to ever give him.

    I'd only trade Addison if they signed another WR. I think Chris Godwin is going to be a sneaky good signing by some team this year. He likely won't draw more than two years of guaranteed money and he is an underneath target-monster who always gets open. Which would be perfect for a young QB who may be hesitant to throw to the always double covered Jefferson.

Most of the article has nothing to do with politics so there are plenty of other angles to discuss.

    Another sleeper part is that he'll be looking for a new deal after next year, and I'm not sure the Vikings pay both him and Jefferson. TBD if Addison makes a stink about it.

    I'd like IOL or DL early, but it's just so hard to trust this team's drafting right now. Skill position players aren't exactly the logical choice, but they do seem like the safer choice, or at least the choice that's least likely to be mis-evaluated.

    I have no issues being critical of KOC. I think his clock management in particular needs much improvement. The play calling is tough though because of the limitations. They don't run enough in short yardage and they don't run screen passes enough, but when they do, they aren't successful and it's not successful because of the dreadful IOL. Do you keep trying? Maybe, but continuing to try and failing is also a bad look. As for the Mullins' pass, sign me up for that all day long. 99% of the time when the backup QB comes in they hand the ball off and the defense knows it. Complete waste of a down. This is the NFL, the back up QB can throw the ball, even if he's not a starting caliber QB. I'd throw a pass every single time in that situation.

    Is it just me or is anyone else confused as to why Arthur Smith is getting HC interviews? He took the odd path of being a TE coach before becoming an OC. Had a great season as OC with the Titans, but anyone can look back and see that was all Derek Henry. He then used that to springboard to the HC job in Atlanta, where this 'offensive' coach turned a perennially average offense into one of the worst offenses in the league for three straight years (wow he's gone, guess what, their offense is average again). Then after getting fired, he goes to Pittsburg and runs the least inspiring offense in the league. But not only is Pittsburg not firing him, he's getting HC interviews. Or maybe Pittsburg is hoping he gets hired away so they don't have to fire him? Either way, I don't get it, am I the crazy one?

    Yeah, at this point, I think the most reliable ranking would be based exclusively on the bonus payout. Somebody who has actually seen them play has convinced their boss to spend that amount of money on the player. It's the best estimate we got and the only concrete intel we have. Everything else is second hand information and unverified rumors at best, even for trusted baseball writers.

    I'm not going to disagree that the Vikings should use backs and TEs to pass block more often, but I think that number is off. I just watched the sack/pick compellation highlights (lowlights) and in just those ten plays I saw three times where the RB was left in to block. And on another one, it looked like Jones was left in to block, but passed off his guy to the DL so he faded out in the open as a safety valve because he had nothing else to do. I will say that in those lowlights, the TE was never doing more than chipping a guy and then running a route. However, looking at the stats, Mundt had 16 offensive snaps and Oliver had 19, while the Vikings only ran the ball 22 times. It's hard to believe that those two otherwise ran routes on all but two plays as PFF suggests (as I mentioned above, the RB stayed in to block at minimum in three of those ten plays).
