  1. I’d take starters or relievers. But I’m doubtful any top of the rotation arms will be available, I’m more confident that late inning relievers will be.
  2. Wow, I just looked at Morrison's AAA numbers, Lou Mike Ford has been hitting well enough to get called up, but, yeah I can see why a 31-year-old who's played his last nine seasons at the big league level and is OPS'ing .999 in AAA might be a little frustrated. Not that I would have wanted it any other way if I was a Yankees fan.
  3. But with the excess of Rule V possibilities, It might not actually be the Diaz type that the team is dangling. Maybe it's say a soon to be added Rooker or already added Gordon, and the consolation prize for losing them is now having room to roster Diaz. But that's not to say Diaz would have to be the 2nd most attractive part of a package. I'm sure plenty of crappy teams would be more than happy to find room for him on their 40-man even if he's piece #3 or #4.
  4. Interesting. Maybe this study itself actually helps disprove the BMI-as-a-healthy-measurement argument. As alluded to, plenty of people won't pass BMI muster because they're too muscular, and if being too muscular leads to increased velocity/torque, sure, the UCL stuff makes sense. I unfortunately don't pass BMI muster for other reasons.
  5. Rogers _______ Duffey May Magill Harper Mejia Parker Morin That's my order of expendablity from least to most. Everyone below the line is eligible to be upgraded, though Duffey is a few more good appearances away from finding his way above the line.
  6. I'd be interested be more interested in a "bounceback" kind of player, but Diekman's season isn't exactly an outlier, the lack of control isn't new, this just who he is.
  7. He gained a MPH on his FB to start the year, it would be nice if he found that extra bump Rogers, Littell and Duffey found. I’d like his prospects more at 95ish.
  8. Glasnow and Meadows weren’t elite prospects when traded, both had lost their shine, Glasnow in particular.
  9. Like what I’m seeing from this Wade guy.
  10. Excellente! Kids finally go to bad at an opportune time!
  11. I wonder how low Pittsburgh would sell on Archer. He’s not for everyone, but looking at his pitch usage immediately upon his arrival in Pittsburgh on August 3rd of last year, I think we can identify a correlation to his terribleness if not the cause itself. It looks like he’s starting to de-sinker-ize himself already.
  12. Both have gotten to the MLB quickly, but I don't know that either look like elite talents. So far Wright's MiLB performance looks fine but not front of the rotation fine. As many expected, McKay's bat doesn't look like it will play at the MLB level, I'd concede that his pitching numbers in the minors are pretty excellent. Going into the draft I didn't think a low 90's FB and limited repertoire would turn him into an elite pitcher, maybe it will. Not that we know enough about Lewis at this point.
  13. Sano can’t win it though so I’m less worried about him.
  14. I think his curve hit him in the bicep, not his butt.
  15. You guys aren’t pulling your weight, last 17 inning game went like 300 pages.
  16. Gibson’s dealing let’s go another 9!
  17. Hey, Magill dropped his ERA to the better side of 5.00 today! Should have met him go 6 innings to try to lower it below..... Someone help me with the math.
  18. Garver better go yard here, he won’t be playing for awhile after this game.
  19. Kepler’s not supposed to K in a clutch spot is he?
  20. Yeah, they just need to go extra innings every game and they’ll look awesome.
  21. Arraez looked a little hesitant and didn’t take a great route to that one. I liked that he made the catch and even more that he had the guts to try it. I think he’ll be OK out there with a few more reps.
