  1. Agreed! For me, I'd rather watch a 5-hour baseball game than the shortest, most exciting football game ever.
  2. The Rochester Red Wings variant of Tommy Milone. That guy's lights out.
  3. Who gets the chance to blow it in the 8th? I have zero confidence in anybody in that pen right now. It's just a question of who gets the first crack at disappointing us.
  4. Terry would hate that ... Merle pays attention to the games (until he falls asleep). That puts him one step up on the Pohlads. Terry might not make it through the day.
  5. Anybody else think the Twins should step up and get Merle and his family better seats for the rest of the game? The guy's 90 years old, it's 90 degrees out and he's subjecting himself to this team ... get the man some good seats. I imagine there's plenty of good seats still available.
  6. Can you blame him? I'm cracking a beer right after I type this sentence.
  7. And here we were worried about choosing Pat Dean for the 40-man over Jones. Terry Ryan, in his infinite wisdom, knew what he was doing all along. Now we get the guy that might be able to eventually recover and be a usable bullpen piece AND the oft-desired lefty that makes Albers look like an ace. Well played, Mr. Ryan. Well played.
  8. Good to see The Centerpiece back in centerfield today. This is why WAR is such a misleading stat ... DanSan's currently at -0.6, but he's a building block for this franchise. Too bad you can't place a numerical value on hustle, scrappiness and how much someone gets after it.
  9. Danny Santana is part of the solution? Does he honestly believe that or does Molitor's contract include a DanSan clause that requires every other person in the organization to say at least one nice thing about him over the course of an interview?
  10. I think our best hope is if Milone trips off the mound and badly sprains his ankle. He is the absolute epitome of a AAAA pitcher - he "dominates" AAA hitters and then sandwiches one decent start between absolute in-game BP sessions for the other team. So they basically traded Arcia for Molly's do-nothing BFF utility man and a career journeyman ... whose brothers from other mothers - are spattered across the 40-man (Dean, Rogers) and at other levels in the minors (Albers, Darnell). It's like a clown car filled with junkballing lefties just drives between Minneapolis and the top four affiliates picking up and dropping off pitchers who have no business in a big league rotation. And good ole' TR is behind the wheel.
  11. Goodbye, Pat Dean. Hello, Tommy Milone. I think I'd rather see Dean out there again.
  12. I think it's a little something like this between Molly and Dan-San http://jennytrout.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/I-wish-I-knew-how-to-quit-you.jpg
  13. Do you guys remember the good old days when Gardy and Andy were running the show? Ah, the good old days.
  14. I'm very, very close to joining you on abandoning this ship. Oh, let's call it a barge ... seems fitting.
  15. I actually find myself cheering for the Yankees tonight. I want them to run the score up so high that there's a mutiny and Molitor is locked out of his office tomorrow.
  16. I could've sworn people were saying Neil Ramirez was the opposite of dumpster diving when I made a comment about it the other day. Care to rethink that position?
  17. But if they had to send Park down to AAA - even if only for a short while - would be Terry Ryan admitting that he screwed something up. Terry Ryan has never admitted a mistake.
  18. Molitor just looked into the camera and said that he gave Oswaldo an opportunity. And he was serious about. Time for this clown to ride out of town his boss.
  19. I stand by my previous statement(s) http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p513/InputSelect/Trottoirs-Gif_zps8000fed8.gif
  20. This. This was my exact thought. If one team cuts you loose, it's one thing. But for a second team to do it in less than a month, something isn't right. Had this been a minor league signing it would've been one thing, but to bring in a guy who's wild, has seemingly lost juice on his fastball and has been deemed expendable twice in less than month and immediately hand him a big league job is ridiculous.
  21. Any idea what Ned Ryerson's career FIP is?
