  1. With so many pitchers on the 40-man, a bit of a "cleansing" should be coming soon. I think the first 3 you mentioned make a lot of sense with Romero being the likely first domino to fall. I think Strotman will get some time to adjust to the bullpen role, especially considering the likely need for bullpen arms as the season progresses.
  2. It's only been 9 games. I know that the offense has been an issue, but to start reshuffling the deck at this point is rather premature. Calling up a very important prospect because of it is as well. Plus, he needs the reps at SS and he's clearly not going to get those while Correa is healthy. And after not playing for 2 years, Lewis has only played in 10 games. While his performance is encouraging so far, that's hardly a large enough sample to say that he's ready.
  3. They really need to enact this change...and then actually enforce it.
  4. Scar tissue is what I was thinking could be the problem too.
  5. @Squirrel? I knew we were forgetting something!
  6. Mentioned this in the game thread, but I'll add it here too. Cold bats continue to be an issue for this team. The pitching has largely done their job.
  7. Nice to see Lewis continue to hit. It's very encouraging. Also nice to see Martin create some havoc on the bases despite not doing well with the bat. Drawing walks and stealing bases will work for me until his bat heats up.
  8. Cold bats continue to be an issue.
  9. Can't tell which is making me more ill; this team right now or the vat of cheese curds I just ate...
  10. Definitely. Which is why I qualified my statement.
  11. Agreed. I do think Kirilloff will be the better player. That's assuming he can come back from the wrist injury and stay healthy.
  12. Hopefully it's a good springboard for him. They may need him for a while.
  13. I agree with this. I think the shift has been a bigger change to the pivot. 2B are often not in a position to make the turn anymore.
  14. There's only 3 Stooges versus 9.
  15. That's quite the accomplishment.
  16. With some fava beans and a nice Chianti, I'm sure.
  17. The suspense is killing me, Chief. Did you move it?
  18. Between the Wild and this...woof!
  19. I'm not finding a Baba O'Riley on the active roster. Is he already hurt?
  20. As a competitor, and especially as one as competitive as he seems to be, I'd be royally pissed off too. That has to be frustrating that the will has the drive but the body simply doesn't cooperate.
  21. But in today's baseball, that's at least half an hour.
  22. That Duran splinker made me giggle like a 12 year old girl. Even if he hangs that pitch, you ain't hitting it!
  23. so that's why mine was confiscated on Wednesday!
  24. I heard you were cutting back. Or was that cutting lines?
