  1. If the Twins are buying, I'd like to see them shore up the bullpen as I think any bat of value will likely cost too much. If they can't score, might as well get better at keeping opponents from scoring too. Brad Hand and/or Joe Kelly likely should be reasonable.
  2. Looks like its a race to 5. 60 percent of the time, it works every time.
  3. How dare you. And here I thought it was because my now wife put on my Twins hat in 2010. Although it was right before Morneau's concussion....
  4. Its difficult to be a Buxton apologist these days. 2-3 last night was nice though.
  5. Just glanced at the baseball reference, I probably misread. Edit, or just forgot to add in his MLB innings from last year
  6. Louie Varland is 25 years old and has never pitched more than 126 (edit 152.1) innings in a season in his professional career (majors or minors). It was also game 56 of 162 on May 31st. That's why you take Varland out in a 7-0 ball game. Of course if you left it up to Varland, he probably pitches until the game is over or his arm falls off. That's why you also take the decision out of his hands.
  7. And by 2025 he'll be in his age 31 season. Maybe a Pineda-type deal to let him rehab and see where he's at in two years. My hopes are not high though
  8. Pagan has blackmail on the front office so no way he gets DFA'd. I joke...maybe
  9. Feel bad for Oakland fans.
  10. Can Gordon legitimately be considered a SS candidate? In his 231 career major league games, he's only appeared at SS for 31 of them. Even in the minors he really hasn't played full time SS since 2018
  11. A decent 7th/8th inning option that knocks Pagan down a notch is good in my book
  12. I mean, on one hand Luis Arraez is a limited defensively, questionable knee's, and nil power in a position you need it (assuming he primarily plays 1B and DH). You also acquire a #2-3 rotation player, a top 100 prospect, and a lottery ticket while only giving up the aforementioned Arraez. On the other hand Arraez is a fan favorite and LUIS ARRAEZ. I think in the long run this is a great trade for the Twins, but its gonna hurt for a bit.
  13. Maybe the Giants and Mets deals couldn't be insured (due to concerns about his ankle's longevity) whereas the 6 year deal with the Twins could be?
  14. New one looks out of focus. Give me the cleaner, current one or switch to the M
