  1. They might be running the wrong direction around the bases, but at least they know to keep on going.
  2. Not Twins-related, but a fun article on MLB.com: https://www.mlb.com/news/danny-jansen-could-play-for-both-teams-in-a-game If I were the manager, Jansen would definitely be in the game. So it's not quite as fun as it could have been, but I still hope he gets to do it. (It's hard to believe it has never happened before.)
  3. Audra Martin (TV sideline reporter) just said no need to worry, Buxton is on a scheduled day off.
  4. At first glance, I thought he was holding a beer. Then I was disappoionted because he looks like he should be holding a beer.
  5. Joke's on him - that 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme is now a classic, well on it's way to becoming an antique. I'd say that's a pretty good return. It is funny to think about Falvey talking about someone else's "know-it-all face."
  6. You might be thinking of Festa - he didn't get out of the first inning at Louisville on Friday night.
  7. Still trying to trade Duensing after all these years.
  8. That explains why I didn't see him catching tonight in Louisville. My view from earlier tonight. It wasn't a good night for the visitors.
  9. You're gonna have to be day-to-day for a month before they can IL you.
  10. Googling glossectomy. OUCH! May I suggest a few more candidates for the procedure? 😎
  11. I also went to just one twins game that year. Carew also hit a HR in that game, but it was more memorable for Dave Goltz throwing a 1-hit shutout against a strong Red Sox team.
  12. They mentioned health issues for both Kepler (neck) and Larnach (foot). It might be that he really wanted to get them both a couple of days off (or in Kepler's case, a couple more days off.) We're getting close to the point where we might have been better off putting Kep on the IL and getting Wallner up. But the cupboard is pretty bare for LH bats right now.
  13. That might be the ceiling at this point.
  14. I thought it was pretty good, considering they put him on the spot and he was completely unprepared.
  15. Careful there. There are a lot of us around here. (Ask Chief)
  16. I didn't know enough about Lewis to love or hate the pick. I revisited my comments at the time, and I preferred Greene and didn't want McKay.
  17. That was a pretty good time to tune in.
  18. For those of us who don't have Apple TV and missed the Friday game, they decided to play the same game again today. Thanks, guys. We were fine with missing it.
  19. You say that as if they are in the same category, Tyler Wells is a fringe #5 starter. Is he better than someone they kept instead? Maybe, but pitchers tend to be crap shoots anyway. I'm losing zero sleep over him. (My first thought when I saw his name was "Who was he again?") The fact that Castro was only 26 meant there was still some time to get better. Through age 25 he was a below average hitter, but not way below. If he could get to average with his athletic ability and versatility, he would be pretty valuable. He exceeded that. It's not a Shane Mack type of coup, but it was a good find.
  20. Why would you wish that on Nick Lodolo? Should we schedule the TJ surgery now or wait until after the trade?
  21. As bad as they have been, they are in the final wildcard spot right now.
