What's the draft look like this upcoming year? Barring a knockout #1or #2 pick I don't care if we win or lose, I just want to see positive development of the young players and would sacrifice Jim Pohlad's first born to not have Kepler have the crushing sophomore slump that is so prevalent in this organization
It certainly would shake things up though. Think about the fun choices the manager would get to make with 1sp and limit relievers to 3 game. Long relief would become much more important. Starter blows up, get the long relief specialist. Though the more I think about it the more I think this would make games go longer because of higher scoring. Can't take out the struggling pitcher because of the limit so he just gets lit up for a half an hour etc..
Right!??? Since when does a utility guy get 40% of the starts? It's one thing if you are giving 4 prospects time in the outfield and a whole nother thing when the proclaimed utility guy is sharing time vs. Just spelling a guy from time to time
This guy just got sentenced to 4 years of probable rape while AP gets a slap on-the-go wrist foe beating his child. Why don't they just strip him of his assets and give him a felony. That ends his way of life just as effectively.
He was obviously tired after that midnight game last night from all his swinging and missing. I also enjoy how Mauer still has day games after night games off despite not being a catcher anymore. We are so loaded with DH/1B types that we had no other option but to shoehorn Grossman in as DH... Heaven forbid you put Rosario in center so Sano can DH those 3 K's from last night sure got into his head I guess.
I'm so bothered by the fact that my mental feeling of the twins is turning happier because of a few good games despite still being cave dwellers in the standings. I want to be mad with where we are at yet it fun to see the young guys starting to flex. Are they making Kepler jerseys yet?
" Donald Trump says he can control the country but he also said that he could control his hair, so I’m still a little skeptical. According to medical professionals… the stress of being the President will take ten years off your life. This is why Trump has received enough votes to be the Republican nominee."
That was wonderful.
As a theater tech who was a part of a production of Macbeth,it was weeks until I realized everyone in theater (much like baseball) is a superstitious crazy person. I didn't even know it was a thing until I got chewed out. Then I went out of my way to say Macbeth Macbeth Macbeth!!!! Oh hey look. It doesn't matter if a couch surfer calls a no hitter in the 6th. Stupid
Those are all teams that need third basemen I think we'd all prefer to trade Plouffe before Nunez. I wonder if any teams would be interested in a package deal? We'll give ya Nunez but you have to take Plouffe as well.
The only reason he can get away with coming in overweight is because he knows he's an enormous asset to this team. He is paid to keep himself in shape to play baseball to the best of his ability. His boss told him to come to ST at a certain weight. He knew he was going to be running around in RF. In most other professions if you are paid to perform a service and then dont do your job as directed by your employer, you get let go. I see no reason why an assumption about his poor preparation for the season shouldn't be made. Dont short sell 23 year olds either. Work ethic has nothing to do with age and people who say it does are probably elitist old farts that are scared of us millennials.
Buxton was an elite defender before he was drafted. Sano feels like he is an elite hitter despite the twins and Kepler does feel like a successfully trained and molded player.... I'm so conflicted!!! Lol
