  1. All the vitriol in this thread is a proxy argument over the complete lack any kind of player development plan by TR over the last 3 years. We've had rookies and veterans alike have great seasons either unsupported by past performances or advanced metrics. And TR has been like a child with a shiny toy pla ed in front of him
  2. Gleeman had a really good conversation about this and the options the twins had available. I liked the line "Arcia plays defense like he's holding two frying pans". He also went on to say that defense doesn't matter at this point in the twins season. With Sano on the DL the twins have 2 players on the 25 man roster under 25 and only 4? Under 27. We are not a young team like the FO tries to Bill us as and we just put a 25 year old possible 30 HR guy on waivers. Yeah he sucks against lefties and literally the only thing he brings to the team is occasional power but in 1000 games he's has a career Ops around .740. That's better than all but two twins this season And fun fact, out of like 285 eligible players over the last two seasons Danny Santana is 280th or worse in every single offensive category and we gave him significantly more ABs than arcia who played once a week. This team has 0 vision for effective player development.
  3. Yep! Twins are moving to Fort Myers for the stronger Florida fan base
  4. Another benefit of being terrible is that the Common Man on kfan has plenty of funny talking points if you are the type of person that would rather laugh than cry . Biblicaly bad gg
  5. Hey! Buxton had a good showing today though!
  6. "The tassel starts on the right side and is turned to the left. This makes them Democrats until they discover that they like guns." Hah! That makes me a gun-toting liberal weeny!
  7. With Arcia as the only other outfielder option I want to say of course Kepler will get play time buut.....
  8. I'm dying to see this kid succeed. Here's hoping for a hot start.
  9. I bet if the entire Rochester team was playing this year instead of the twins they would have more than 11 wins.
  10. Despite striking out in a whopping 44% of his plate appearances, Walker has a better OBP thaaaaan Park Escobar Plouffe Dozier Suzuki Santana Centeno (Rosario) (Button)
  11. woof Sano left 6 guys on base tonight and is creeping towards the Mendoza line. Is he really an Untouchable?
  12. Ah I see what you are getting at. (what the lower quote says right?) Do other owners let their presidents hire the FO staff with a hands off approach? The Pohlads would still have to find a president then and personnel search firms haven't been too nice to MN lately. With how the Wild and the Wolves stepped up and Zimmer being a stud, its frustrating watching ownership that cant address these issues. How the hell did the Wolves become more interesting than the twins....
  13. How much influence does St. Peter actually have on the on field product? From a business ops standpoint the Twins seem to run pretty well. What I want out of a GM is someone that can correctly pick an impact player out of the first round. Gibson in '09 and Plouffe in '04 are currently the most recent first rounders we have on the 25 man. I know you can find diamonds in the rough but it's been 12 years since we have had a position player stick (on this team) that was drafted out of the first round. The first overall pick in next years draft is not something I want TR deciding on. Hindsight is 20-20 but we took Gibson 3 spots before all-world Mike Trout. Fingers crossed on Buxton and Gordon
  14. At least it took them more than 0 out's to score a run today
  15. This guy has felt like he has been around forever in Rochester despite only being 26. Without looking any deeper that BA, the guy hit over 300 in 500 AB last year. Even if his ceiling is significantly lower than other top prospects, I'd take a weak hitting high average guy on this team right now. Between polanco and Beresford how dies Dozier have the kind of job security he does... ita a business, it's supposed to be competitive. Atp Dozier is that professor that had one good study 20 years ago that netted him tenure and has followed that up by doing nothing. 1 all-star game should not give him this kind of cushion.
  16. Why pull him! He got the first two strikeouts of the game for the twins and their worst hitter is up to the plate....
  17. At the game. Blue Jays fans sure liked those homeruns
  18. Rally time! If you can lose nine in a row you can win nine Inna row!!!
  19. How about a 10 person trade with a couple other bad teams. Give this roster a 4-5 player shake up wake up.
  20. Something's gotta give. They might be feeling left out by not making any big moves like every other team in the area
  21. I enjoyed the brief moment of optimism when we came back from 8 down
  22. This game has the potential to just be a normal loss, instead of some outrageous dagger to the heart loss.
