  1. No idea. But I think he was #1 'til about 2012.
  2. This kind of feels like a game they'll lose...in about the 15th inning after it goes back and forth a few more times.
  3. Josh Willingham keeps falling in rank.
  4. Agreed. When he came on tonight I asked myself what his home/road splits are. I have no idea. I just know he started 2024 slow and has been great lately.
  5. I prefer your understated tone to the recent Front Page headlines.
  6. whew (was worried Langoliers would be at 7 RBI already)
  7. More triples. The simplest way to avoid DPs. (and there are 2 outs already)
  8. I hope somebody is helping SWR relax in the dugout. I'm only watching on Gameday, but it looks like Vasquez didn't go to the mound that whole 1st?
  9. It's nothing the Twins can't overcome with 3 walks and a blast.
  10. Only one ball in play so far though. The home run doesn't qualify for that term, right?
  11. easy day for the defense so far anyway
  12. And Wallner seems to be heating up in AAA again. It seems like an endless rotation of Kirilloff/Larnach/Wallner where none of them makes MLB adjustments to earn and keep the everyday job. So we get the hot hand (or the least cool, anyway). Larnach looks good this year. Let's hope he's finally made the jump. The clock is ticking close to 1000 AB for Kirilloff. Then I imagine we'll see the next wave of OF prospects fighting for LF. (I'll keep the 2025 Kepler talk out of this discussion since it's pure speculation anyway.)
  13. I think it was Jackson because they can always designate him and pass him through waivers again with little to no lost value.
  14. Roughly 10x that of Vazquez. Stats are fun.
  15. Exactly my memory. NL teams had those brighter uniforms in natural daylight. And the pitchers would bat. It was another world.
  16. WGN + TBS were some of the most effective baseball marketing and building lifelong national fan bases.
  17. Jeffers isn't exactly tearing it up lately. His AVG has fallen by like 50 points in recent weeks. To me, his recent hitting suggests he could use a day off.
  18. I support Jeffers having 2 days off in a row. He's played a lot this year at a demanding position and we're still only at the 1/3 mark.
  19. You're going to need to clear a lot of roster spots for all those new MLB players.
  20. Does it have to be a position player? (So many roster rules nowadays, who can keep track). Cuz I also think it could be any low leverage RP to buy time until a position player inevitably sprains/strains something.
  21. Couldn't you say the same thing about every player though? Though I wish you'd say "part-time" or something because that is not what "consistent" means. And coaches can help players to improve outside of live games too.
