  1. I hope he proves me wrong, but I haven't really trusted him for about a year. I know stats say otherwise somewhat. I'm going by personal intuition. I'm fine if he's a 6th inning type pitcher, but not high leverage.
  2. A 3-0 timer violation? Yikes. I like Washington, but that's just bad all around.
  3. I'd honestly be fine with cutting Thielbar but I'm sure that's not a popular take.
  4. Definitely Jax then, based on the Alcala decision. /s I still think Bowman or Jackson goes. Or a surprise muscle strain trip to the IL for Jackson or Okert types.
  5. You keep this on hand for these occasions?
  6. Catching duo is 6-8 so far today. But only 1 SB (so far).
  7. First faceless player I've ever seen in gameday.
  8. Imagine this game without a pitch clock...
  9. Maybe this is why he's only pitching 1 inning at a time.
  10. Willi Castro and Carlos Santana leading the new look offense of late April. WTF?
  11. And if Santana can hit, that means Kirilloff steals Miranda's playing time to some degree. Or, I wish that was the case, except for the platooning. I'm not sure anybody knows what Miranda is right now. I still sort of think he should play every day, either MLB or AAA.
  12. My guess is Martin. Unless they shock and cut Farmer. Or maybe Jackson/Bowman. (A week ago I would have said Castro, so what do I know?) But I assume they stick to players with options as long as it's before mid-May.)
  13. Lopez? Stick a fork in him. He's done for the year, clearly.
  14. And with Correa on the IL, maybe they should resign Nathan to play SS again.
  15. Maybe 50+ IP sample size. 12 innings is a hot streak with minimal scouting by the opposition.
  16. Good for him for getting in shape, but 25K in 59 AB looks like the same old Sano to me.
  17. Like he can keep a secret.
  18. "Dominant" is a stretch, as he was still pretty untested in that role. But I agree that he's better in the pen. I also don't think it was a mistake to give him one more shot as a starter. If you don't, you have people asking "What if?" forever (see Duran, or even Aguilera). Now he's had that shot...we can move on with our lives. I imagine he'll still be mostly SP in St. Paul just to get innings.
  19. I think Ober is on a close innings/pitch watch, but hopefully he can go 7 tomorrow. I don't like who is left in the bullpen. Good series. Nice to see the BA #s creeping upwards.
  20. He either fails to adjust, or lacks the concentration required at a pro level and falls into old habits. I hope it's the latter, as that's fixable. Heck, it happened to me. My first job was too easy...until it wasn't, and I'd developed bad habits.
