  1. I think this is a good sig line for moderators at this site. Thanks.
  2. My sister did, too. Fabulous recipe ... which I make for the crew at work a couple times a year. They beg for it.
  3. Oh, ack, okay then ... forget my previous advice then. But as Bob said, allow for plenty of time.
  4. Personally, I'd take the 'back way' in and out of there, and not come across the bridge to San Carlos Blvd. Given the backups that happen during season, can't imagine how bad it's going to be when it was like that already back in December when I was there last. But, who knows ... Sorry I'll miss you ... I'm heading back north on the 13th.
  5. Not sure about that, since it's really before official workouts start. I know when ST has officially started, and the practices are officially scheduled practices, I think they usually like you to wait until the end so as not to interrupt the players while they are 'at work.' Again, hoping Halsey and Bob can enlighten us all so check back.
  6. I've merged a few threads here to try and keep all the ST type questions all together. There is some good info in here as well as when people will be there. Halsey is a good person to ask as he's pretty much there every day. Sacramento Bob will also have info on this. It's not a ghost town at that time. Guys are there working out and doing drills, albeit not 'officially.' Not sure of the when or where of it, but usually in the mornings. Just head over, park, and wander the fields to see who's out doing what. Halsey? Bob? Care to elaborate?
  7. Think how funny it would've been had I won.
  8. Early Spring? We haven't even had winter yet.
  9. Snakes, no. They make me scream and act irrationally. Baked Alaska I'v heard of but have never tried. Temperatures are unseasonably warm here. True, not 80, but I'll take not -10.
  10. And I think I signed only one person's sheet. If you do a scavenger hunt again, I think it might be better to at least point out who people are, or have those who are being 'hunted' have special name tags or something, or have us doing some specific tasks to mingle, like you did by having us passing out the shots at the pub crawl. (I'm a horrible mingler by nature, but am more than happy to answer questions when approached.)
  11. I want to know whose factoid was whose on the scavenger hunt. I only found out 6 or 7. But have to say, I really didn't need to know John played naked softball ... just sayin.
  12. Can't say it enough ... this was a great event! I think I liked it better than the Pub Crawl, and that was a lot of fun, too, so tough to beat. Great venue, great speakers, fun all around. Too many of you missed it! Oh, and I saw Eduardo Escobar at my hotel after. We were on the elevator together.
  13. Moderator note: Please accept that posters have varying opinions, even if you think them entirely implausible. There is no need for these subtle elitist dismissals. Agree to disagree. And don't take and make things personal when you do disagree
  14. You were closer than Laudner was.
  15. Awesome event, guys! You did great! And, OMG, I just saw Eduardo Escobar!
  16. Launder equally great! Ol' Buck-Ninety-One hit it out of the park! Next year y'all need to be here. Good times!
  17. Pags was awesome! You guys who aren't here missed out on some great stories! A bit of break as we wait for Laudner
  18. I don't think she'd take it, tbh. I don't think she'd even be a good choice for VP.
  19. I'll be around from 28 Feb - 13 March. Have tix to two games and will likely just show up for others. Will try to get to a practice before games start. Halsey, are you there every day?
  20. This video was posted 1428 days ago ... so ... roughly 4 years ago ... how is that relevant to this current discussion of where Joe is now?
  21. No she's not, and I wish people would quit saying this. She is way more presidential than he is, by far. She should not be relegated to anyone's second. And, frankly, if Bernie does win the nod, he's going to need someone from a big-vote state who isn't in the same realm of liberal that he is. He will need someone more moderate to complement and balance him.
  22. Then start by changing the make up of Congress. It's fine to vote idealistically, it's everyone's right to choose who they want. But Congress as it currently is is NOT going to let Sanders do a dang thing.
  23. And it showed. He had way too much idealism and naivete, imo.
  24. If Warren were a candidate I'd be all in on her. But she needs more experience and we need her where she is.
  25. I, too, love puzzles, but I still also do jigsaw puzzles. This was a Christmas present ... a jigsaw puzzle table. And it folds up quite nicely, too.
