  1. Yep ... but this will get dismissed by most, too. Of course it's not sexism, because, well, it's Clinton so everything she does points to wrong-doing, wrong judgement and scandal. It's not sexism because it's Clinton. The past 25 years of brainwashing has worked. No, she's not innocent of everything. Absolutely not. But she never, ever gets a pass in terms of really looking at events, it's instant guilt. While Trump, who is BY FAR worse and a despicable human being barely gets mentioned. People rushed to this forum to discuss how mishandled her pneumonia was, and maybe there's something to it, and oh, pneumonia kills. Reading these posts you'd think she had far worse and then was immediately duplicitous in some sort of cover up. Yet not once have I heard anyone mention that trump is being brought up on charges of human trafficking. HUMAN TRAFFICKING. Really? Not to mention the charges he is facing of fraud regarding his university scam or charges of campaign donation violations. While I don't know what's true or not, not even a mention about it here, if mentioned, certainly lacking in the frenzy feeding of everything Clinton does. Really? Yeah, right, while maybe we aren't intentional or overt in our misogyny, we certainly aren't innocent of it, either. And it was never about racism with Obama, either. Right.
  2. Besides ... look at his coloring ... he looks like a Sox kitty.
  3. Lol ... I never asked, but in NW Indiana, more likely a Sox fan than anything, probably.
  4. Yep, he sat on my lap for the next hour, purring away.
  5. My foster kitty, who I have been calling 'Big Kitty.' I found a home for him tonight and he will go to live there on Saturday.
  6. Yeah, unfortunately I caught that part
  7. See, I think even in this statement it's blown way out of proportion. Sorry, but I do. It's pneumonia. And I'm not trying to say it's a cold but statements like this and others in this thread, you'd think it was Alzheimer's or cancer. Molehill into a mountain, imo.
  8. Meanwhile, no one questions Trumps health, or that he basically got a doctor to read exactly what they wanted him to say about his health? What about all the times presidents have been ill? Seriously ... because it's Clinton it's some big scandal. Could it have been handled better? Sure. Is it a mountain out of a molehill? Yes. Is it the media, once again, making something out of nothing with Clinton while giving Trump pass after pass? Yes. Double standards are alive and well.
  9. I worked with a guy while living in Canada who referred to himself as an America ... a North American. He made a point to tell me just about every day that those from the States aren't the only Americans and it's wrong to call ourselves that.

  11. The images I have a difficult time with were the people jumping.
  12. Bark, I'm not criticizing you here. Your choice is yours and is just fine. I was just commenting that I don't think having a pet is a sacrifice but a choice. And yes, some shouldn't choose to have one if they aren't going to care for them.
  13. No, most wouldn't. Having a pet is a choice and not a sacrifice. Yes, it is a commitment and does take time, but it's still a choice and not a sacrifice. But there is nothing wrong with you and your wife not wanting one. Nothing more horrible than someone getting a pet just to get one and then not really loving it or paying attention to it or taking care of it. Or worse, abandoning it when they realize they don't really want it.
  14. And I think Big Kitty has found his home. The people who came by tonight really liked him.
  15. What? You've only had a happy ending once? That's ... kinda sad.
  16. Oh man ... say what you will about Mauer, but that was the most awesome at bat.
  17. I really like licorice caramels.
  18. And many humans I know, too
  19. I've still got my eye on everyone.
  20. Okay, let's have a one-swing walk off.
