    And, further, the vet said that this guy ... someone would be looking for him ... and no one is. Friends of mine out posters all over the neighborhood and registered him on lost pets IL website ... no response. Given the timing, the vet said that whoever had him likely moved and just left him behind. I mean, could have at least taken him to a shelter or found a home for him, but they just left him. Or they put him out. But no one is looking for him and as I said, his size, nature and health do not indicate in the slightest that he was a stray.

    Well, in the case of this guy, his size and his nature. And he wasn't skittish of people. He'd been neutered and blood work didn't show any of the typical stray cat diseases like FIV. His teeth were good. And he's 2-3 yrs old. And given the fact he was found wandering soon after the 1st of the month, vet is 99% convinced he was abandoned. Says he sees it all the time.

    This guy is pretty chill ... and he's a big guy ... 19 lbs. He's just one big huge lump o' love.

    Sigh. I've been fostering a kitty and some people came to meet him tonight. I was feeling a little sad that I'm going to be saying good bye to Mr. Big Kitty soon.
