  1. Just like they weren't counting on winning the bid for Park ... hope their 'we weren't counting on this and now have to make room' doesn't screw us up.
  2. Me, too. I don’t think this is an upgrade move and doesn’t really fill holes.
  3. I'm slowly unfriending people on social media who think these actions are acceptable and warranted. I'm not 'friends' with them irl, just went to school with them at some point and weren't really friends with them then, either, so ... buh bye. These are the ones who cannot have a reasonable discussion and express any pov but hate and fear, don't read anything but Breitbart and InfoWars and consider them 'real' news, who for all 8 yrs while Obama was our President, complained daily how he was ruining our country and how he shouldn't be president because he wasn't born here and is a Muslim. These are the people that need to be rounded up and expelled. Let them be Pilgrims in the New World somewhere else.
  4. Exactly. I’m not sure why people are so set on Polanco at SS. If I could ‘heart’ this, I would.

Oh man ... that is quite the ‘You betrayed me’ look he’s giving you. How’d the snip-ectomy go?
  6. I bought a package of 3 pr ... one for each of 2 bathrooms, and a 3rd for the kitchen ... because, well, yeah ... don’t want to use bathroom gloves in the kitchen.
  7. You are a brave soul to go out on Black Friday. I avoid it ... but then I usually avoid being in crowds of people being frantic in their endeavors.
  8. Lol ... I bought these recently (not Black Friday, though) ... they haven't arrived yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FmwqiSyoig
  9. Moderator note: This forum is to talk Vikings AND NFL. It is not Vikings only. Talk of Koepernick and the NFL is permitted here. If you go to the full version or on your desktop, the description of the forum reads “Let's talk about the Minnesota Vikings and NFL football”. Frankly, I’d rather this forum be titled simply “Football” and have ALL football talk here from prep to pro and everything in between, and would give leeway to those discussions happening in here.
  10. I wish you and yours a happy Thanksgiving. No matter what your current life circumstance, I hope you all have things and/or people to be thankful for.
  11. Seth, is the asst pitching coach the BP coach? Are they doing away with that definition?
  12. I live in Chicago, and while I’m not exactly desensitized to gun violence, I also sort Of expect it. All the schools in the area went on automatic lockdown, police were everywhere. They hold massive training sessions around McCormick Place every so often, so it got put to use immediately. It makes me sad there is a need to be so prepared but glad they are. :/
  13. Shooting in Chicago ... at a hospital. Started as a 'domestic dispute' just outside the entrance and then the gunman ran into the hospital. Four dead, including the gunman. The woman killed ... shot 6 times ... was set to marry this guy in October but called off the wedding in September. She was a doctor. This happened about a mile from where I live. The entire neighborhood was pretty much on lockdown, although I wasn't here when it happened.
  14. There is an ongoing discussion in the minor league forum. Please direct your comments to this thread: http://twinsdaily.com/topic/31766-2019-40-man-roster-additions-who-will-be-added/?do=findComment&comment=805322 Thanks!
  15. What I could actually see happening ... and this goes to the stupidity of Democrats ... is that they nominate two people and their votes split, and the Republican nominee becomes Speaker. I hope that doesn't happen, but, pseudo-intellectual liberals have a tendency to also vote against their own best interest and decide their 'principles' just cannot be compromised for the greater good.
  16. You misunderstood what I meant. I don’t think she solicits or wants their votes. I could see the republicans supporting her to get her elected to create tension or turmoil among House Democrats.
  17. I can. With a number of Democrats being vocal about not wanting her to be speaker, what better way to upset the party by Republicans voting for her.
  18. Um, why would you say that? It's not that I'm a huge Pelosi fan, but this seems a bit, off.
  19. I hope that it’s not Bernie, Hillary, Biden or Warren.
  20. A girl can't carry on an athletic tradition? I mean, get them both playing tennis and we could have a new generation of dominant sisters in the sport.
  21. Wow, yay for Tommy Watkins! That makes me happy! Hefner as asst. pitching coach? Is that a new name for bull pen coach? I’d say that Baldelli held true to wanting a diversified staff.
  22. It's funny ... I have a very small purse ... clutch size ... and half the time it gets checked, half the time it doesn't at various venues and sometimes at the same venue. At the White Sox stadium it all gets put through a detector. You take it all off, put it in the bin at the side as you walk through the metal detector and pick up your stuff at the side. It's really quite efficient whether or not you have a bag.
  23. I don't think it's a problem they are trying to fix. If you read the NFL bag policy, after they give you all the specs of acceptability, there was this line: 'Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags will be available through club merchandise outlets' And I think your solution regarding traffic into the stadium was a good solution ... no bags to check, go into this line; bag to check, go into that one. I've been to plenty of places that do this and it works fine.
  24. That and ... hey, there's comfort in what you're used to. To you guys Comfort Inn = jail.
  25. I think (and correct me if I'm wrong) Mike's concerns about rural vs urban voters as how it pertains to and is quantified by the EC. And I'm not really in disagreement with him there, that I think it's way off balance in how the EC is constructed. But I'll let Mike correct me ... and perhaps that ongoing discussion is for the general politics thread. That said, I think rural America is still pretty solidly red over all. The biggest gain (I think I read this somewhere) is the flip in the suburbs this election.
