  1. Would have liked it if he could have had a chance at 6 for 6
  2. When you are that far ahead it’s absolutely time to use the bench. Let them get at bats, save the starters for games with the Astros. It’s often done that way.
  3. I could eat one and I’d be done. No contest with that
  4. Well, Festavus not going as planned
  5. No beer, no hotdog for me, but might make a strawberry shake later
  6. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst is my motto every baseball season! Go Twins! wish this game had an earlier start time …
  7. Marlins moving on … https://www.mlb.com/news/tim-anderson-designated-for-assignment-by-marlins This is still my favorite Tim Anderson moment … ‘DOWN GOES ANDERSON! DOWN GOES ANDERSON!’
  8. Having lived in a foreign country I was much better at understanding the language than speaking it. And in that context, on the spot like that, yeah, no, I totally get it
  9. Depends on the meatloaf recipe and the sloppy Joe recipe 🙂
  10. Would you stop SHOUTING every post?
  11. The solution is simple. It’s summer. Later bedtime. But only if they watch the game.
  12. 7:10 is a typical start time on weekends … perfectly fine if you live on the west coast. Imagine east coasters with the start time at 10:10pm
  13. Okay, López … let’s follow up your last effort with the same this time! Go Twins!
  14. You make it sound like our players are being targeted ... I don't think that's the case. I don't think it's intentional. I don't know why our players are getting hit more than others. But I agree something should be done. I just don't believe in 'old school' violent retaliation as you do. We can keep going, but on this we just disagree.
  15. Lol ... not the first time I've had to correct one of Brock's dates on a game thread ... one time, he had the wrong year :)
  16. If pitchers actually start aiming at the batters, even if their intent is below the chest, I hope it’s someone with absolute control. With the spin and pace some pitchers throw today, and with less control, aiming at batters is a recipe for serious injury. I don’t agree responding to an unintentional hbp with an intentional hbp. As I said last night, I don’t know the answer, but retaliatory violence isn’t something I condone. Maybe start looking at the pitchers, and start removing them from the game or fining them. It only takes one slip and that intentional hnp ends a career because of the max levels the balls today are being thrown at. They hit us by accident, we hit them intentionally. So they hit us intentionally, then we hit them again. Where does that end? Maybe the solution is with the pitchers themselves.
  17. But he filled the 26-man roster when the Twins sent Henriquez back to AAA
  18. Well, you and I are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. I just don't think it's a good response.
  19. But when you are talking about pitchers not having the best control, and you start aiming at players, it's not a good combo. And where does it end? They do it, we do it, they do it again, etc. Not a good plan. I don't know the answer, but I know that isn't it.
  20. But it's not tit for tat when one it doing it intentionally and one is not. And once you start go directly at people, that's when someone gets hit in the head.
  21. I'd rather the umpires warn the Dbacks pitchers. Next hit batter, someone is out. And I agree, the pitchers need better control, that's the problem. But retaliating by intentionally hitting someone from their team? No. I think that's dumb. just my opinion. So how do you respond? what should they do?
