  1. Meh ... I drive my little 6-speed around Chicago. Yeah, it can be a little tedious but mostly it's fun.
  2. That's actually the civilized drive ... it's the other that isn't so much.
  3. My Dad had a Chevy truck that was 'three on the tree' ... it was fun to drive, while he still had it.
  4. I learned how to jump start my car without jumper cables. Get it rolling then pop the clutch. Of course, that wouldn't work on an automatic. But I don't own an automatic, never have. I also used to change my own oil and filter. That was fun ... well, was mostly 'fun' saying I knew how and could and did do it. But there is no need to fuss with that now. Besides, I'm not allowed to do such things in my condo building garage. Beyond that, I let the car's computer tell me when something needs to be checked and/or done. Okay, well, when the low tire pressure light comes on, I can handle that one myself, too.
  5. Right. None of us knows who does what here. I agree with the general sentiment that no one is 'safe' and that whoever is hired will have to take a look at everything and make decisions/changes where necessary. But this is not a specific discussion on Jack Goin and the 'he can run the benefits database' was a bit mean-spirited, in my opinion. Let's keep the discussion to the POBO possibilities, what you hope/expect them to change, please, without going into a specific discussion on Mr. Goin. Thank you.
  6. We had a thread here on Jessica Jones. I remember Daredevil also being talked about ... maybe on that thread as well? http://twinsdaily.com/topic/20804-marvels-jessica-jones/
  7. Returning for a 2nd year is 'Life in Pieces' starring Dianne Wiest and James Brolin. The first season was quite funny. Looking forward to the new season.
  8. Besides ... look at his coloring ... he looks like a Sox kitty.
  9. Lol ... I never asked, but in NW Indiana, more likely a Sox fan than anything, probably.
  10. Yep, he sat on my lap for the next hour, purring away.
  11. My foster kitty, who I have been calling 'Big Kitty.' I found a home for him tonight and he will go to live there on Saturday.
  12. Yeah, unfortunately I caught that part
  13. I worked with a guy while living in Canada who referred to himself as an America ... a North American. He made a point to tell me just about every day that those from the States aren't the only Americans and it's wrong to call ourselves that.
  14. And thinking about that is worse than my eye avatars.
  15. It's called an intelligence quotient ... or lack thereof in the case of football fans.
  16. Find a creepy eye one ... jimmer loves those.
  17. Sigh ... and that's the game ... time for some shut eye.
  18. But I think the point we are trying to make is that we were probably a little bit crazy and unstable to begin with. The season this year has just brought it closer to the surface.
  19. Game thread as usual, then. Well, except we need Aggies to make it complete
  20. You can blame Chief for this. He was the one who wanted me to change my avatar.
  21. Well, that would make sense. Actually, it would have made sense to have him be the DH this whole game.
  22. lol ... I have a good friend like that
  23. Besides, we're going for scary or creepy ... so your avatar works just fine for that
