    Bailey really gutted one out today, and he deserves the win. But for the love of Pete, between wallner and brooks and this dumpster fire of a BP, we're gonna need more runs than 8.

    I'm sad to hear this news. I as excited when the Twinks got him with Reardon in 87, because he was a solid backstop. I was at the game when he got hit and broke his hand, and lost to the team for several months. (Although the game was good, Bruno tied it with a singer in the ninth, and Hrbek hit a walk off.) He would probably have been the #1 catcher, but then Launder and Sal took over, and performed capably. My condolences to his loved ones.

    A good team win, today. Royce and Buck were big heroes, and Taj was just electric with his stuff. Really fun to watch- and hopefully he can get a little better handle on his control. That long 1st inning doomed him to an early finish. I'm hoping against hope this won't be the last time we see .500 this year- fingers X'd.

    Echoes of more than 100 losses, more like. Pathetic joke of a roster, especially that criminally constructed BP.

    Just infuriating. They need to woo fans back to Targét? Practically every step they've made (and NOT made) this offseason has been in the opposite direction. This tri-headed SS monster of Kreidler, Arcia and Gray is a pathetic joke. For God's sake, how long did IKF dangle out there, when we could have picked him up for a song, even on a 1 year deal, like he got from the Red Sox. He's handled the position well over the years, and he's stinging the hell out of the ball so far in ST. Not making a worthwhile offer for Zach Littel is a pathetic joke. Not making any move toward Giolito is a pathetic joke. And especially, not landing Kopech and annointing him the closer is the most pathetic joke so far. This is gonna be a long, pathetic joke of a season.

    As I peruse ST box scores from afar, one thing comes into focus-- it's gonna be a long season, and we're gonna be on the wrong end of some Cricket scores at times. Woof- today's selection: the Zebby Matthews Experience, followed closely by the Liam Hendriks Experience. Why do I suspect that pretty much every Twins pitcher this year will have "Experience" as a surname? 🤔

    I remember being really cheesed off at all that rigamarole with that guy. I was happy to cheer against him. He did have a strong rookie season, but then kind of petered out over the years. Reminded me of one of those guys who grows really fast and is the all-sport star in middle school, but then the growth stops, and the stardom goes away.

    Why am I reminded of the opening scene from 'Major League' when the scouts are sitting around the table looking at the owner's new roster: "This guy is DEAD!"

    They are correct. I've been waiting in the wilderness for a while now about Brooks to 3rd and Royce to 1st. It's the only dam thing that makes sense. They should have given Royce the mitt last fall and told him to learn all he can over the winter.
