  1. The sad part of this is- there probably are teams that can fix him. Shades of Brent Rooker, or Eddie Julien with his .800+ OPS, or dare I even say David O... For some reason, the Twins are where promising young hitters go to die. Royce, Miranda, Sano, and on and on. Watch us ditch him for some middling reliever, and see him light it up for the Giants or the Braves. Or the Yanks, God forbid.
  2. The gnarly bunch of pedestrians in that moribund BP absolutely cannot be trusted, to a man. We may start looking like Billy Martin's Matt Keogh/ Rick Langford A's of the early 80s, burning all our starters to the ground.
  3. Welp, they gave Joe his run, but then he wasted it. 🫤
  4. No way did I ever think 6 runs would be enough for his 💩 show of a BP.
  5. One of the most horrifying sentences to be uttered these days: "There's action in the Twins' bullpen..."
  6. I know the guy's been a loyal soldier, and deserves some on-air role, but I just can't abide Corey as a play by play guy. To me, he always sounds like some guy who won a contest to do an inning in the booth. Swear to God, "back it goes, deep it goes..." Come on.
  7. This should be in Blue Jays news feed, and Louie V should be the Twinks' closer. I will never forgive them for this. Never.
  8. I'd rather he was playing 6 days a week for the Twins, and wallner was playing the same across the river.
  9. Same old script that we'll see all season. I feel for the starters, who are doing yeoman's work- a hiccup for Joe and Taj last time, but of course, the BP comes along eventually to put an end to any hope. For God's sake, start making some moves. Swap Wallner for E-Rod TODAY. Cut Outman and Clemens and Taylor. Go get KOPECH, which you should have done before ST! Nestor Cortes is still out there, too, as long as we're throwing spaghetti against the wall, let's see what he still has in the pot, see if he'd be amenable to a BP role. This treading water while we're drowning is beyond the pale. I was around the Cities in '82. It sucked losing, but at least you could see what was coming in the kids on the field. Not so with this bunch. This is already turning into a hate-watch.
  10. Welp, we let the Mets off the hook with our 💩ty BP again... Marginally better defense for one day, but the usual cold sticks flailing at the plate. But wow, I'm gonna have to watch the replay on mlbtv, and see those two young hurlers! Sounds like they did well! How cheeky of Sheldon to use em back to back?!? The one and only thing to do after letting the other team get off the deck: kick the ever-lovin crap out of them tomorrow.
  11. Gee, 2 pathetic ABs with the bases loaded- who would've guessed? 🙄
  12. Agree. Seems almost like a wash now-- but boy, those young guys, especially Steer, got out of the blocks and really made me angsty about it early on! 😅
  13. Why not? The whole roster is already a crapshoot. One more couldn't hurt that much.
  14. And Kopech, for god's sake. Like they should have done back in ST
  15. Welp, same script, different day. Let's see, the starter guts it out and gives the team everything it needs to win. But then... The defense gacks it up, the alleged "bullpen" has a daily implosion, the bats go cold, and here we are again, the same Twinkie Two-Step toward ignominious defeat. Ho-hum, this week is the whole season in a nutshell.
