    So glad they called up Vargas to let him sit on the bench for the last month of the season. How many AB's since his callup? 3? FFS. Just another in a long line of Twinkie management head-scratchers all season long.

    Guys, a big thanks for all the work this year. I'm with Glunn, this has been one of my favorite things on this site, too. It's been a wild ride with the big club this year, but for too long now, all the action has been down on the farm, and you guys have done a great job keeping us up on the action, and introducing us to the stars of the future. Hats off-- I'm already looking forward to next year!

    Late to the party- been watching USA vs. Australia rugby, live from Soldier Field! Rugby CBU- Autralia 14- USA 10 at half! This is big---- after getting their arse handed to them by #1 New Zealand a few months ago, they spotted the #2 team a 14-0 lead, and came back and punched 'em right in the mouth! Yee-haw! There are some fearsome hits going on, in the last tune-up for both before the World Cup starts in a couple of weeks-- Go USA! How are the Twinks doing?

    I know it's pure speculation, but I just can't not think about where we'd maybe be with a 2.28 Pelf in the pen, May in the rotation, and Esco at short the whole way. Instead of, you know, what we got (and I'm quoting Joe Angel here, for you old-timers) from the Twins' brain-thrust.

    He had that good stretch, but it was unsustainable. It's yet another of the bleedingly obvious things that the GM's on this board have been on about all season. Like playing Santana at SS for so long, it's just been painful to watch, and such an easy answer that should have been made long ago. Just too many of these season-long face-palms.

    Heh- I'm perusing the thread back to front- it's fun that way-- like an old episode of "Time Tunnel." BTW- the cheese gets there by having some in your mouth, and watching Pelfrey pitch.
