  1. Nobody is going to pass him for #1.
  2. Harvey has some of the best pitchability in the big leagues.
  3. I think this largely has to do with the fact that the Twins don't acquire talent outside the organization very often, and it really isn't that alarming because the best organization in baseball (Giants) don't either. One of the main problems is that Minnesota doesn't seem to be very attractive to big time free agents.
  4. I doubt it. The Rangers are a pretty classy organization, and I don't think they will let that carry over to May 2nd. What bothers me about Bautista and Encarnacions' bat flips are the fact that the whole goal of them was to try to irritate the Rangers, not just a celebration. You won't be seeing Shin-Soo Choo doing that on a big home run, and he is Korean! Another example would be Kyle Schwarber's home run, he watched it, but he was not trying to taunt the pitcher or the dugout of the Cardinals. You can celebrate without being a jerk.
  5. Blue Jays fans are jerks.
  6. John Kasich? Jeb Bush? How about Marco Rubio?
  7. No. If I am Terry Ryan I hang onto Berrios and Kepler. If I am Billy Beane I start out asking for more. Sonny Gray pitched poorly down the stretch, and the games I watched him pitch in he seemed to tire pretty quickly, but it necessarily wouldn't be a bad trade.
  8. The best writer on FanGraphs. I wish the Twins had hired him.
  9. Forget it, the Twins will have to send Buxton or Sano for the Indians to make a move, and if you are going to do that, do it for Kluber, who the Tribe will not move.
  10. Who would play second? James Beresford?
  11. Sign Chris Davis, trade Trevor Plouffe?
  12. Yeah, Heyward is like a centerfielder playing right, and even though he is likely never going to be a star hitter in his career he can give you good value in just about every category.
  13. Torii Hunter was 7th out of 18 qualified right fielders in UZR, finishing higher than Josh Reddick, Carlos Gonzalez, Nick Markakis, and Bryce Harper.
  14. Puig would ruin the Twins, not to mention he isn't all that good, the most over rated player in baseball, and wouldn't be worth the trade.
  15. Cueto is pretty good, and the Twins will probably have interest, because they have been scouting him all summer, so this isn't totally unrealistic, but his struggles since coming to the AL are definitely concerning.
  16. It was changed, but I don't think it was a drastic change. Burdi's problems are supposedly mental, because apparently he has been throwing as hard, and his slider is as sharp.
  17. My solution, start Plouffe at third, Mauer at first, and Sano as super utility with about 90 starts in the field, and the rest at DH. Now as a solution to the Souhan problem...
  18. It seems this discussion has gotten off topic.
  19. Isn't Morneau a free agent? Seems kinda dumb to do it.
  20. Burdi's delivery was not drastically changed. Cederoth's velocity has been slipping for awhile, but Steil and Radcliff both think that he can get it back up there. In my opinion it fell due to SDSU and the Twins moving him back and forth between the rotation and the bullpen.
  21. Donaldson and Beltre both injured, which really changes the look of this series.
  22. Gallardo is a groundball machine.
  23. Arrieta is the Cubs' Johan Santana. It isn't like we haven't come up with an ace for nothing, few teams do. At least we were thinking right.
  24. Watching the game. The Canadians are alive, but Texas doesn't seem phased. Elvis Andrus can also play a terrific shortstop.
