It's been a slow death for these RSNs, but it is lining up nicely to get a pretty significant national TV contract in 2028. In the short term, that's a lot of TV money leaving the sport.

I'm going to start a race discussion here, spoiler alert... 10 NFL HC openings and only 1 person of color filled the role. Do you know how many non-white people are offensive coordinators heading into the 2026 season? Zero. Nil. Nada. What's the quickest path to a HC in the NFL today? Being the hot shot young OC who's ideally calling their own plays.

I would work on a long term agreement with Walker Jenkins right now so he can be on the opening day roster. If Tough Talkin' Tom is serious about competing this year, then the focus needs to be on the highest upside talent like Jenkins, E-Rod, Prielipp, etc.

Promoting the assistant OL coach does not instill confidence. Is Frank Smith higher on the totem pole than Wes Phillips as OC? If so, why is Wes Phillips still here in that role?

This classic scene from The Office is probably an accurate representation of Falvey’s relationship with the Pohlad family over the last 3 years. Snip snap, snip snap. Tough talking Tom can continue saying we will be competitive all he wants. It’s not based on anything in reality. The Pohlads still don’t get it. Fan morale crashed because of them! There’s a large subset of fans who are sick of them, and only them. They won’t spend another dime at Target Field until they sell the team. -
Yeah. If KOC really doesn’t think McCarthy can run his system as intended, then let’s cut bait now while he still has decent value. Otherwise JJM could easily become the next Anthony Richardson/Zach Wilson who aren’t worth more than a late day 3 pick.

If the Drake Maye trade rumors had any substance to them, my guess is KOC would have traded the farm to trade up for him. On that note about QB…

Old friend George Paton has an expiring contract with the Broncos too… Maybe that’s who we scoop up to be the next GM. I can’t imagine teaming up with Sean Payton is a long term gig for anyone

Handing it to a raw QB prospect who missed all of the previous season due to a knee injury. Plus, a raw QB prospect who rarely had to throw the ball in order for his college team to win.

My initial thoughts now, since we won't have a new GM prior to FA or the draft, is go with status quo through the 2026 season. Rob B will have the interim GM label handling the numbers like usual. I'd say let KOC be the true leader and try to get us out of this mess. Since, let's be honest, if McCarthy doesn't improve, or the team doesn't improve enough to win a playoff game, he's going to be out too after the season. Then we can start 2027 with a new GM and new HC

Those pretty good rosters got us in the same exact spot we were in with Spielman when he got fired. Full of expensive veterans, and now we got to dig ourselves out of $50 million over the cap. Again, I was hoping the unorthodox hire would inspire some money ball type of decisions. Kwesi just couldn't figure out the draft, which is the literal lifeblood of any successful organization. He relied way too much on free agency to dig himself out of the massive hole he made by whiffing on a majority of the young talent over 4 years.

It's his draft history as a whole, not just the McCarthy decision. Which was completely wrong as it is. We've shown you these stats over and over again. Kwesi's drafts have been terrible.

When you let a guy like that walk out of the building for nothing in return, that’s pretty damning. No offense, but I’ll never understand why you liked him. I was good with trying an unorthodox hire, but it was crystal clear he was terrible at the draft.

For years we talked about the pitching pipeline he was going to build. And this year when the cards were cleared to actually move ahead with the pitching pipeline, Falvey won't be here to see it through.

This screams to me a fundamental difference on the business side of the organization. I'm guessing they are getting killed on ticket sales, and more importantly suite/advertising sales from companies around the area. Zoll remaining as the baseball guy also screams same old same old. Unless he decides to grow a spine and take advantage of this opportunity.

First thought... The business side (namely ticket sales) must be at an all time low. Since he was responsible for the business side, which he never should have been in the first place, he got a lot of heat. On top of that, there's been a clear lack of interest in changing up the roster construction.
