    Agree 100%. I'm bought in on trading Dozier this winter to improve the pitching staff. It's the unpopular choice, but I don't see any other way to improve the rotation for 2017-2018.

    Do you believe the Twins are going to extend a 31 year old Dozier for $100 million when his contract expires? Do you also believe the Twins with their internal options can transform their rotation from the worst in the game to a competent, average rotation? I don't... Not without looking outside for help. There's a lot of assumptions made on Gonsalves' part that he's only going to keep progressing without any regressing. Haven't we made that mistake 2 years in a row with all of the awesome RP prospects we've been waiting on?

    Another great thing about back to school... Is school lunch! School lunches I'm sure are night and day different than when we went to elementary/middle/high school. My favorite school lunches were taco day, and square pizza day! What were yours?

    Same. If 35 year old Mauer is still starting 120+ games in the field something went very wrong.

    This conversation is above my pay grade as a fan.... All I know is someone needs to fix Berrios, because he's the only internal option that could realistically make a difference for this rotation in 2017. I really don't want to think about the possibility that Berrios is another #4/5 starter.

    It would be simple to get out from underneath Santiago.... Just don't tender him a contract for arbitration. The way starting pitching looks, I just don't see a way this team can be competitive in 2017. I suppose they could try to take a flyer on a Brett Anderson type in FA. As far as internal solutions, I don't see any real difference makers coming into play soon. Which leaves the only other alternative they could go, and that's through trades. They should trade from an organizational strength, and dangle Dozier this winter for a real difference maker in the rotation.

    On B-Ref his top comparisons are Gehrig, DiMaggio, Bonds, and somehow Matt LeCroy.

    It also would not surprise me if they attempted to sell Vargas to an overseas team again. It doesn't appear to be a priority trying to give him consistent playing time.

    The players I wouldn't lose any sleep over if they were lost via waivers: - Centeno, D Santana, Boshers, O'Rourke, Dean, Albers. If there are 40 man concerns over the offseason, Landa and Rosario could be removed as well.

    It certainly feels like Escobar's best role would be utility/part-time going forward. SS should be explored this off-season for an upgrade, even if it's short term for the 2017 season only.

    You guys sound like a bunch of Millenials Didn't your mother teach you to pick up the phone and call your friends instead of your Facebooking, snapchatting, or whatever you young whippersnappers do these days?

    I change my FB profile picture once a year, when it's the annual Christmas family photo. And let others tag me on pictures, events we went to, etc. It's been a good year and a half since I posted something on my own to that site. Haven't posted a thing on Twitter all year. The only time I do use it is following LaVelle and Berardino. And fantasy football stuff.

    There is value for Plouffe. Just not $10 million value. If he's still looking for work in February/March at a David Freese like discount, I would consider bringing him back.

    Facebook, and social media in general, is becoming less important to me on a daily basis. The benefit of FB these days is when it tells you when someone's birthday is... Or when someone gets engaged and you know the dream is over.

    Gibson, Pressly, and Escobar are the only ones I'd tender at the end of the season. No explanation needed for dumping Plouffe and Milone... Santiago is a toss-up. At this point I'd just take the money and run.
