    Does anyone in the world work on Friday afternoons? By 3 PM, let's be honest. Everyone's screening phone calls for Monday and hoping nobody stops by their desk with a work task to accomplish.

    According to B-Ref, the Twins have now attempted 51 sacrifice bunts on the season. Only the White Sox have attempted more bunts for AL teams. AL League average: 30 attempts.     When you say nearly identical, you really do mean nearly identical. Holy cow. It's like I'm seeing double. 17 HR 63 RBI, 6 SB, K/BB ratio nearly the same, same .734 OPS. I don't have a lot of complaints about Kepler, besides the abysmal LH/RH splits. He needs to learn how to hit lefties sooner than later.

    Do we think Rhoda is good enough to be the starting QB throughout this season? Frankly I haven't been impressed with him on the field. A couple good throws here and there, but overall too inconsistent.

    Always encouraging to win out in the "cupcake" portion of the schedule. Especially with a young team. Hopefully Brooks and Rodney Smith heal up over the bye. They'll be much needed when they start the conference schedule vs. Maryland.

    Congrats to Mitch Garver on a great season... Though in a perfect world, he wouldn't have qualified and got the call to the majors earlier this year! I've been a big fan of Wade for the last 2 years. I just love his approach at the plate, and think his plate discipline will translate to the majors sooner than later. Now, if he would develop more power, we'd be cooking with gas!

    Well, chances are he's not going to be ready until June-ish next season. And it's tough to rely on someone coming back from Tommy John and be successful right away.

    Every superhero needs a sidekick.... I still believe in the core four, and these three are turning into nice supplementary pieces for the core 4.

    Congrats to all of these guys for having a great season. Perhaps we'll see a Curtiss-like jump from AA to the majors next year for Hackimer.

    They may lose 1 or 2, we'll have a thread full of scorching hot taeks, and it'll prove 4 months later that it doesn't matter.

    Last week would have been an opportune time to figure out the QB situation as well. Can't imagine they have a better understanding of what they have when Rhoda threw the ball 8 times all game.

    These are all great points. Perhaps Francona and Maddon do a better job creating a fun culture and are better leaders than others. Because I do think, even though it can't be measured, that Francona knows how to lead a team to success better than others. Let's say Ron Gardenhire was the manager of Cleveland instead of Francona. Would the team be 5-10 games worse than their record today? I do agree that most of their decisions over the course of a season wash out, so that's probably not the best way to measure a manager's value to an organization.

    I'm surprised in the world of analytics, no one has come up with a good way to measure a manager's impact on a team. I do believe there are managers out there that make their teams more successful than others in the same situation. Terry Francona and Joe Maddon immediately come to mind as examples. I don't really know if Molitor is one of those managers that makes their teams more successful. Or if he hinders success with his in-game decisions.
